Wuthering Heights is a novel that people love or hate, just as Heathcliff both loves and hates Catherine. Surprisingly, I didn't know much about the plot before I read Wuthering Heights. All that resounded was this passion whirl chatter about Heathcliff and Cathy! The greatest and most passionate love of all time. Excited.
Cathy dies just over a third of the way through and their love is barely revealed to the reader, a flaw of the framing device used, forcing us to witness the animalistic passion, that by the way was only elucidated via grunts from

Umm look I know it's a classic but reading a "love story" about a bat-shit crazy anti-hero who digs up grave of love interest to put her rotting corpse next to his own was only mildly amusing until I was a child and unable to understand the book-from-hell. Now, I'd need therapy. And that definitely costs more. Just sayin.
