What a powerfully moving story.
Spiegelman's honesty in portraying his father, the endearing and the frustrating personality traits, and the details of his story is heartbreaking but also revelatory. He does an amazing job capturing the guilt that many survivors were forced to live with, as well as the helplessness that all must have felt as things unfolded.
