Ok, I finally listened to my students and read this - in less than 24 hours - and they're right. It's good. Green's one-liners are classic, even if his teenagers are always unbelievably-precocious, and I love him for attempting to deal with very weighty topics in YA fiction that does not read like a soap opera as so much other YA fiction attempting to deal with these issues does.
