What Members Thought

I discovered British Police Procedurals through Goodreads a year or so ago and am very glad that I did. I am late with this author, I have read many great reviews about DCI Erika Foster and thought I needed to get to this series. A good decision.
When a young rich socialite who has gone missing, is found a couple of days later in the ice of a pond, the police need to solve the case. DCI Erika Foster is called to resume active duty and to take over the case by Superintendent Marsh. They have worke ...more

4.5 Stars - The Girl in the Ice is a riveting read - a real thriller that kept me burning through the pages right through the ending. The suspense quickly ramps up as Detective Erika Foster investigates the murder of a young socialite found under the ice in a London park. I am a fan of British police procedural novels. In The Girl in the Ice, Detective Erika Foster is a complex, angry (due to recent events) woman with a reputation for solving high profile murders. This is a wonderful introduction to a very interesting character.
