Currently working on a book in which the author died on the 22nd of February. But I like yours better, because I was 22(.5) on the 22nd of November, 1993.

Time to finally start the next group read, Embers by Sándor Márai.

I finished Forever a Stranger and Other Stories by Hella S. Haasse. Very short. And very compelling.

With only 51 ratings, Forever a Stranger and Other Stories fits easily.

V - Venning - Of Human Bondage - 2/9/22

Of Human Bondage has a large portion set in France. I had planned to use The Daughter set in Greece, but it proved more difficult to obtain a copy than I had expected.

Finished Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham. Was not what I was expecting, but I knew very little about this book when I began it. I liked it a lot.

Just started The World According to Garp by John Irving.
