True... very true...

Changing this one to Kafka on the Shore so that I can use King Solomon's Mines for another category. One of the main characters suffers from a mental disability.
970 King Solomon's Mines is recommended to one of the main characters by a bookseller in Independent People.

970 Independent People by Halldór Laxness. I mostly liked this world where everybody is a poet and sheep are a little too important. It dragged at times, but as a whole: good.

970 Welcome Teroia. You will find many willing to engage in a discussion about a LIST book. Feel free to join in to our current group read, or even read and post on a past one. Glad you are with us.

970 Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

At times ranting
At times ridiculous
At times genius.
At times at the same time.

970 Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol. I found it wonderful, funny, and hard to put down.

970 During the last few days I have started Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol...

...and Extinction by Thomas Bernhard.

970 Pastoralia by George Saunders. Delightfully bizarre. Like Vonnegut and Pynchon had a baby that was only slightly more centered but not really.

970 The Spy Who Came In from the Cold by John le Carré.

Got a little ahead. More in a couple weeks when the group read is open.

970 Kafka on the Shore. Only my second Haruki Murakami. I liked this one better than Wind-up Bird Chronicle. Just as weird, but easier to follow.

970 That's a great way to do the list. If they overlap then they must be worthy of reading. I like it.

970 Hi Molly.

That's an interesting source. Might be better off in the "Helpful Stuff" discussion. The host of that list certainly makes the link look suspicious. But I clicked on it anyway, and it seems like a legit list. You might want to type up a little about why you are posting it if you move it to that thread.

This area is for completing the A-Z challenge.

That being said, are you going to try to complete the challenge with overlap books only? Sounds fun!
