Thanks Alisa -- I'd be glad to have you as a beta reader! I'm currently sitting at 80,000+ words and hope to be finished the novel in 10 days. At that point I will ask for reader response to the novel and then start revisions. My goal is to have the novel published by April 5th or thereabouts.

What she said. ;)

Boring? Drake? Never! (I have a feeling he's going to be even more interesting in the next part of the story, as he..."

I was feeling insecure because (view spoiler) No I am not going cray... This is normal for writers!

Good. Drake is interesting enough then, I take it? He has yet to put his full Dom hat on but Kate keeps knocking it off... ;)

Good - I love Drake the way he is but I'm the writer and we're notoriously biased! Just don't want him boring!

89768 Question for Beta readers: is Drake too nice? Would you prefer him a little darker or more ... Edgier?

89768 Paris (kerbytejas) wrote: "like losing your favorite cat then finding it.....psyco, schizo.. what ever works for you...I endorse it....just don't get lost out there"

Don't worry. I'm not losing it! That's just what happens when you're writing something fresh - you have to feel it or it won't translate. When I have to actually edit it, I am more objective.
89768 I'm a method writer. ;) I have to get into the minds of each of my characters, feel what they're feeling in order to know how to write them. Kate says something and Drake is devastated but keeping it under tight control. My stomach is in knots, this sense of grief in me. Of course, then I think of what happens later... and I grin like an idiot. It's schizo I tell you!
89768 I have to write this really heartbreaking scene for Drake and it's actually making me sad. I'M SO MEAN TO MY CHARACTERS!

When I lived with my parents in Colorado Springs, back when I was in my sophomore year of Uni, we went to Port Aransas and area for Spring Break. I met a really cute guy by the pool and spent all day with him outside and got so burnt that I was sick for two days in bed.

LOL - do they need policy analysts in Cali? I would love to live somewhere it's warm all year. FUCK snow. I've had enough for a lifetime.
