88432 Great to hear from you Deb and Stephanie. Glad you are staying safe.

88432 Wow, Uno is a cruel game. Despite our great effort we're towards the bottom of the leader board. Hoping this month gives us the points to move up a bit. (I know it's all for fun... but it would be great just to be in the top half, LOL)

88432 Thanks for doing that Sisa. And great story, so imaginative.

88432 Great work everyone. I'll wait and finish the book I'm reading for April.
Mar 28, 2020 10:00PM

88432 Is the deadline 7pm on the 1st, Sydney time?

88432 I have also finished this for March.] Devil to Pay (Night Huntress - Complete World #3.5) by Jeaniene Frost

Seeing it seems we have enough books for this month, I've got one more to read for this month which I've wanted to get to for a while. About witches trials in 18th century Scotland. The Darkest Shore by Karen Brooks

That's probably a Captain's Call, Sisa. I agree, sometimes the book looks a lot more of the colour than the picture or tineye shows.

And I picked it up new off a throw out table for $2 because of it's red cover just for UNO. So glad I'm getting to use it.

88432 Thanks Paulette and Karen. Yes, I think the home schooling is going to be a real eye opener.. especially for homes where both parents are working from home, like yours, Karen. I'm just going to let my grand children lose on the farm.. with supervision of course, LOL.

This is what I've got so far for the coloured cards.

The Hawley Book of the Dead by Chrysler Szarlan

Red, 0, 2,3, 4, 6,7 - Good value!

Murder at Kensington Palace (A Wrexford & Sloane Mystery #3) by Andrea Penrose Red,3,6,9

The Earl Takes a Fancy (Sins for All Seasons, #5) by Lorraine Heath Yellow 6

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier Red 4

Where Serpents Sleep (Sebastian St. Cyr, #4) by C.S. Harris Yellow 6 - It looks a lot more yellow than the picture shows

88432 Finished and noted Four Friends by Robyn Carr .

I know everyone has a lot on adjusting to the new reality. For some people reading just isn't an option at the moment, and for others it's an escape. How are we going to finish our hands for this month? I have some time at the moment as I am virtually self isolating at home so if we need any particular letters I'm sure I can find a few quickies I could read. I will probably be tied up in the middle of next month and my reading will slow then. Except for kid's books, LOL.

Dad's only... birthing suite and back in the ward. This is going to be very hard on the other kids... and of course the grand parents! I'm looking after the other 4 kids solo, my husband is self isolating as he is immuno compromised. It's going to be.... interesting.

88432 Finished - The House on Olive Street by Robyn Carr .

As we are getting towards the end of the month, are there any letters we need to read for to fill in the gaps?

Thanks Karen. Yes, it certainly is unprecedented times. Very difficult to sort the facts from the panic. On a happier note we have a new grand child due in 3 weeks, another boy, that brings the total to 4 grandsons and a grand daughter. The circle of life carries on.

Did You Miss Me? (Romantic Suspense, #14; Baltimore, #3) by Karen Rose
Mar 20, 2020 03:48PM

88432 I couldn't believe those people on Bondi Beach either!

We will be going down to our farm over Easter so that is the ultimate place to self isolate if needs be. Hopefully that vaccine being worked on will be successful. They are trialling it in 50 Australian hospitals and it looks promising.

How are we going with finishing all the hands for this month's Uno. I have 4 books to finish before the end of this month.

As you already have a book for No 6, I could take No 5 - REad a book where a character starts something new. Joseph Carter starts a new job in a new town. From Homeland Security in DC to VCET in Baltimore.

Thanks for offering to change though.

No probs. I'll see if I can fit I elsewhere otherwise it can go towards the story.
