88432 Yum Karen! When are we coming around to your house to partake of this heavenly dessert, LOL. I wonder if we can get an "asteroid" bowl from Victoria's Basement... hee hee.

88432 Great teamwork everyone.

Is anyone working on the recipe. I have zero creativity when it comes to that aspect of the challenge, I'm only good for finding page numbers and words, the practical stuff, LOL.

88432 I like the way you think Karen. Go for it.

Perhaps the same kind of creative thinking is going to be needed for starfruit, I couldn't find an eligible book when I did a search on Goodreads other than cookbooks or a short Vietnamese fairy tale book.

88432 Karen, I hope you manage the weekend with your hand. Why do these things always happen when the hubs is away.

On the mini challenge spreadsheet, do you want us to put all the word options, I've got a heap of them for my current book, or just claim one?

88432 Ooh, great. Love the mini challenges. Checking upcoming books now..

Edited to say - The book I'm currently reading is published June 5, 2012 - So we can use that for the 6 (June, 6th month) or the 12 straight up. No One Left to Tell (Romantic Suspense, #13; Baltimore, #2) by Karen Rose .

Our power finally came back on around 11.30 pm last night. We were off for about 30 hours. I was used to this when I lived in the country, it still happens there, but first time since I've lived in the city. The thing that struck me the most is how much we rely on technology and the frantic need to recharge our devices when we can't. But I did read a lot, got the above one finished and nearly finished two others.

Did you enjoy it?"

I actually did. Not my usual thing twenty something angst but I did LOL quite a few times.

88432 Intense storms knocked our power out yesterday and it is still out 24 hours later and predicted to be out at least another 24. Had to go to the library to power up my phone this morning. Nothing to do but read, my paperbacks till night then my kindle which was fully charged. Oh well, apart from a freezer full of defrosting stuff things could be worse.

Karen, have you been affected at all?

88432 Have a great time at the show Karen. Hope the lovely rain doesn't interfere with your plans too much. Next Saturday my sister and I are going out to Homebush to see Queen and Adam Lambert, I'm not sure if it is inside or outside so I hope the rain is gone by then... after we've got the 100 mm plus of course. I'm praying it finds it's way further south to our farm and puts out those fires once and for all.

Great progress team! And have a good weekend all.

Hey Lisa, usually a su..."

Yes, that is the usual rule but in this case through out the book she is referred to as Miss Van Tassel. So I'm thinking "V". Like a hyphenated name but without the hyphen. It is about Sleepy Hollow so lots of Dutch people.

88432 It's on the shelf and sheet now, Paulette.

I've got a busy end of the week so I'll be finishing my next book probably by the weekend.
