Going through my TBR, I could easily do
Funny Story - 3 Blue (ALN = Henry),
The Wake-Up Call - 5 Blue (CFN = Izzy),
or The Final Gambit - 3 Red (3rd in series).
I'm not wed to any of these books yet, though, so if anyone else has their eye on one of these color cards for a book they want to read, feel free to claim it. Plus we have four wild draw four cards, which means we'll need to repeat four of the color cards as well. Next week I'll have a little more time to look for books that work for the other cards and I'll plan on claiming something that's still open then.

I live in Ohio (USA) and have two cats. Besides reading, I like to quilt and cross stitch. I work night shift, so my sleep schedule is a bit messed up and you may find me on goodreads at any time of the day.
Let us know if you have any questions.

My last post has probably been buried by now, so I'm not sure you saw it Trio - below is what I need from you currently.
Please add finish dates to Fen and Making it So; please add start and finish dates to Raven, part 2.
Thank you!

I haven't done a good job at completion posts this month, so I'll do one large one now :)
I Am Not a Serial Killer - I gave it four stars. Definitely YA (told from point of a 15 year old male). Definitely went in a direction I wasn't expecting! I'm looking forward to the next one in series.
One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns - both five stars, also YA but I enjoyed the unique magic system and dark, gothic vibes.
Vicious - five stars, I also loved this one, possibly because it was so much different than I expected again. The second in the series is waiting at the library for me on my hold shelf
Garden Spells - thank you Cris for recommending this one! I gave it four stars - it felt like a Hallmark movie! I need to get the second one so I can read her sister's story.
Thank you all for a fun quarter of UNO. It sounds like I'll see many (all?) of you at Book Games in a couple of weeks.

Ashley can you add Crown of Midnight to your UNO shelf?
Cris can you add How to Solve Your Own Murder to your UNO shelf?
Trio can you add a finish date to Fen?
Thanks everyone!

I think that works for plot device/occurrence, Andy...hopefully everyone else will agree too.
I am listening to Down Among the Sticks and Bones as it has a vampire in it and therefore will work for task #48. It is a re-read for me, plus it is a novella, so it should go quick (and I'll be able to re-start this series which I've wanted to do as I never got past book 2 in the past).
Then I'm debating if I should finish The Familiar or instead read I Am Not a Serial Killer which will get us the Red 5 card? I can only do one; both fill the same task on the mini sheet. But abandoning The Familiar will mean we have a 4 card open.

It would work for our Red 5 card.
I've checked it out from the library, but I don't know that I will have time to read it before the end of the month.
I'm not sure where we could put it in the mini - but maybe task #11? That would mean I'd need to find a new spot for The Familiar, which might possibly be 46 or 48 as it has been shelved "vampire" 11 times and Spike is a vampire....but I'm not far enough along in that book to know for sure.

The Dragon's Tale

Trio - we're too late! Cris has already filled the slot regarding other team's villain - which is great because it is a bit of a difficult prompt I think.
Also, I realized my book Two Twisted Crowns has a fair amount of poetry in it - one of the characters is often speaking in verse/is a poet, and since Spike is described as a (bad) poet it would work for prompt 48. But then we'd need something to fill that slot (something tagged romantic suspense or gothic romance).

Do any of the characters in your book share any traits with count adhemar? He seems to come from the same period in time so I thought might be most likely.

I'm also not familiar with most of these villains, so I have been googling them. My current book has someone who traveled through a portal so I was trying to figure out if any of the other teams villains were also portal travelers, but I don't think they are....if anyone knows otherwise, let me know!

I claimed "dark fantasy" on the mini and am doing a reread of Every Heart a Doorway. I put it under 8 on the main spreadsheet, but it would also work for 9.

anyone good for green 5, 8 or Skip?"
I think I have Green 8 covered - Garden Spells was recommended by Cris at the beginning of UNO and I've had it checked out since then. It is green and has a "sinful" apple on the cover! And according to goodreads has two characters whose names start with an E.

does this look greenish to anyone else?

I'd say it is more gray than green...but it is a very good book so you should still read it! ;)

Using for the mini and I was wondering if I could fill one of the green color cards left as well.

To me it looks blue too....

I'm not finding the following books on your UNO shelves; please add them when you have a chance. Thank you!
Ashley - The Shadows Between Us
Andy - Making it So
Cris - Finding Margaret Fuller

"Read a book that one of the other teams are reading/have read for any of the tasks under 1-45"
And found that a book you're planning on reading fits - Listen for the Lie. I put it in that slot (at least temporarily) for you as I didn't see it anywhere else on the mini.

I'm reading this for a red cover. Can it count as a siniste..."
I heard more back in the captain's group and learned that task is purely based on color - so I was overthinking it. They said black, gray, red, green, purple, orange could all be sinister/sinful. So any of our red covered books will work! It's a much easier task than I thought. If you find another task it fits that's open, make sure to make a note as we have several red covers left for claiming yet.

I enjoyed this story, although it was slow moving which might not have been best for an UNO month!
