Soren notices the blush that is spreading over Audrey's cheeks. He tilts his head to the side, Soren's artistic eye for detail looks over her face and commits every part of it to his memory. When he draws her later he doesn't want to miss out anything. Her eyes are still his favourite, it will take hours, days maybe even weeks to get them just right. Soren says "Do you ever feel like when things break, it's not the actual breaking that prevents them from getting back together again. It's because a little piece gets lost - the two remaining ends couldn't fit together even if they wanted to. The whole shape has changed. Because thats how i feel when things happen in my life sometimes, that there was a me before and a me after, and even though the two aren't completely different i know i will never be exactly what...who i was before"

Soren's mouth turns up into a small secret smile. Soren doesn't smile much, and that isn't by choice, but it's hard to be happy when you have your past breathing down your neck at all times. Soren forces himself to meet his crystal blue eyes with her seaside grey ones, she makes him feel strange, and not in a bad way like most people do.

"Thats alright, i mean that you forgot, not that she has cancer obviously, we've known for a while now, but recently it got worse so i'm here to visit" says Damien.

Soren laughs at that, "If i ever did judge anyone it would be extremely hipocrytical of me" he says "but thank you, i like hearing you talk too".

"Most people don't think so. That's one reason why i like to not talk" Soren says, he doesn't want to get into the other reasons.

Kol drives up in front of the house and they all get out. Kol picks up Kaiden in his arms and takes Jace's hand. Jace doesn't pull away even though he had stated many times that he is too old for "that rubbish now dad". This is how Kol knows Jace is just as nervous as he is. Kol opes the door and calls out to Rory.

"I'm glad that i'm not embarrassing you. I' m just telling you what i think....you dont have to say anything back" says Soren with a serious expression. He isn't sure what else to say, he wasn't trying anything on, he just spoke what he was thinking.

"Oh, so now he gets a sense of humour" jokes Ever.

"I don't mean to embarrass you. I'm not very good at not speaking my mind. It's because i don't talk much so when i do i have no filter" says Soren with a light shrug.

"I told you, my aunt's sick, thats why i'm here. She's got cancer" he says.

Ever turns and laughs, she closes the door behind them and walks through into the living room, "Shut it.", she says with a slight smirk.

Soren watches the way Audrey smiles as he helps her unpack, it strikes something in him. Soren feels compelled against his usual instincts to say "I like how you smile. If you watch people then you'll see them smile a lot, but the smile doesn't really count because when no one else is looking you can see the sadness behind the smile. A real smile does not have to be forced, it's natural and uncontrollable. Your's in the kind of smile i always want to draw, but it's hard to find".

Soren helps Audrey unpack some more of her stuff and even though we don't talk the silence isn't uncomfortable, it feels like they don't need to talk, like they work in some strange perfect harmony.

Soren stands up to help anyway and takes some things from Audrey so she doesn't have to struggle. "I love drawing you, but let me help you" says Soren honeslty, his blue eyes still intensly trained on Audrey.

Soren finally finishes his first picture, he was right, it is a good one. The curve of her face fits perfectly amonst the books and her eyes took him the longest to draw, they are a real creation. The eyes always are. Soren looks up and says "The last book i rea that i liked was A tale of two cities. But i know what you mean about the younger sort of books. My favourite book would either have to be Unwind by Neal shusterman or A note of madness by Tabitha Suzuma, all of her books i love. Do you need any help Audrey?".

Soren is deeply engrossed in his work, he has now moved on to using the colours, he thinks this could be a good one. Soren had always been harsh on his art, the most critical, he wants it all to be brilliant, anything less isn't worth it. But he does answer her question "Yeah, i do actually, some of my art is even based on my favourite books. What books do you like?".

Soren wastes no time and sits down, he opens up his satchel and retrieves his skech pad, he wishes he ha a proper canvas or even just a bigger pad, but Soren shakes the wanting off and gets out a few different thickness coal pencils and some coloured chalk-like pastels. Soren starts to draw the outline, he base the theme of this drawing around books and says after about 10 minutes of concentration when the first drawing is coming together, "You love books then".

Soren follows Audrey into her house and is careful not to distrurb any of the boxes, "Thats alright, in my art studio flat in Bristol it's a dump, with all the drawings, paintings, paint brushes, coal pencils...." says Soren.

Kol is bringing the boys back to thier house, they ahd been at their grandma's home (Rory's mum's house( all day so Kol and Rory could have a day to settle Rory in This will be the first time the boys have seen her in ove two years. Kol has alredy sat them down to tell them what happened, or at least the PG bits. Athough Jace suspects more, Kol knows he wants to be told everyting, but Kol as told him he wants to start fresh, with all of them as a family. Maybe things can go right this time.

Damien laughs at that, and says "They are at the hospital, but i'm meeting my brother first at my aunt's home".
