OK, I am WAY behind here. Here is the synopsis, though. Lusie now has The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Don Quixote, which completes her limit of two.
Bea has given up Don Quixote and purchased Lord of the Flies
Tien is reading for Animal Farm.
Off to make the changes

Somehow I missed this, Lusie. Sorry, I will get all the updates made.

As for the books your chosen....I highly recommend Never Let Me Go. It was an amazing book imo.

There are so many books on the list that I have had on my list for quite a while, some of them are even on my LOST list. The first one that comes to mind is
A Tale of Two Cities, but I would never finish it during the month, so I think I will go for something shorter. Here are a few suggestions:
The Book ThiefThe HelpWuthering Heightsand I might finish
Cinder, which I started last year.

Wow, there are many things that make a book a must read for me. Of course there is the fact that I was so enthralled I didn't want it to end, like
Anne of Green Gables or
The Pillars of the Earth, but another consideration is whether the book has something important to say like
Animal Farm or
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin. And then there are the ones that surprise me, like
Gone Girl. Some books are a combination of important themes and entertainment like
Me Before You and
If I Stay. But the underlying theme I think, is that the book has to move me in some way.

Me too! Set me up!

If so, you can still keep TKAM. There are not really a plethora of people waiting to buy properties, that is for sure, but if it is going to be a while before you get to the book, I will go ahead and list it for sale.
Let me know what you think.

I have to agree with Tien that most of the humour/humor books that I read are really not that funny, although some of them are faves for their quirkiness. That said, I think it is time for me to finally read the next Thursday Next book by
Jasper Fforde, which for me is
The Well of Lost Plots. I loved the first two books in this series and agree with LynnB, he is such an imaginative and inventive writer.
If I have time (right, sure) I will move on to
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal which has been on my list for years.
