Hi Kim! I've been squatting on your property for a while...can you pick ONE book from my list so I can move on?https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Pick something light so I can pick it up soon! ;)

I just realized I'm more than 2 months late with one of my picks! Oops!To be fair, I'll be in a BR for one of the books in late March so I can't start it now and I've started the the other two multiple times but I'm not feeling them (I'm a very moody reader and it's like they have a repellent!) What options do we have in cases like this? Can we pick something else?
Yeah, I wish we could do half stars too. GR says they won't do it because it's difficult from a tech perspective (which might be) but I think they're afraid of bringing ratings down because most people rate up i.e. if they think a book is 3.5 stars, they rate it as 4 stars in the system. I tend to do the opposite.Anyhow, my rating is very similar to Lauren's and like Marina, I also have an explanation of my ratings on my profile so people know (or a link anyway). Most of the books I rate are 3-stars for a variety of reasons.
--- I found the book entertaining but nothing else
--- Good book but with major pet peeve
--- Inconsistent book - i.e. great characterization with mediocre/bizarre plots
I don't necessarily look at average ratings when picking a book - readers of genres like YA or NA are easy raters and seem to give 4-5 stars to everything - but if a book has been rated less than 3.5 by lots of people, that is a concern. Lately I've read lots of duds on my TBR so I've decided that in addition to mood, I should consider go for the highly rated first.

I think people add books to a shelf because they want to read a book when they are visiting a city. At least that's the only explanation I can find because otherwise, it makes no sense.

That makes sense to me. I would add though that if they fail to respond to requests more than once within a certain period...as this challenge runs the whole year, a person may be unable to respond once in Feb and in August but stilled fulfilled all other requests timely.
Found the first book I can read in page 12...I've read many books from this shelf but it seems I have very few on my TBR currently!
Ok, I read a few more books from this shelf
- 2 stars - Terrible! Not continuing the series
- 4 stars & 3.5 stars. First book and novella in the same series. Totally awesome! Can't wait to start book 2 and I've discovered that I totally love MacLeod Andrews (the narrator). What a talent! I'm his total fangirl.
Tien wrote: "I have to confess on LOVING [book:Pride and Prejudice and Zombies..."Hahaha! I liked it well enough but at some point, I wanted the zombies to be over and to read the actual book! That's when I told myself...just pick the actual book! LOL!
For Charity...the first two I've read and really enjoyed, the other two I haven't but looked interesting. :)

This book seems to be written to please certain crowds ("contains intimate scenes between engaged adults")? "I have a very high tolerance for these retellings but some are just so bad!
