8565 Starting Nights of Horseplay: Equine fantasies from South Carolina's thoroughbred country for Trim 21.

That game allowed me to pick all books that I own for Part 1. This will be the second one that I have read out of 9 picked. When I finish this trim, I will have made a nice dent in books I own.

8565 Oh, man. I got mixed up and pushed myself to read Before the Coffee Gets Cold, because I thought it was the December book. Duh! Well, I still have The Midnight Library, which I am starting today.

I gave Before the Coffee Gets Cold 4*. It is four short stories with a common setting ~ the cafe ~ and a common theme. Each person wants to time-travel. And there are rules: (1) must sit in a particular seat and not leave it, (2) nothing done in the past will change the present, (3) one can only meet people who come to the cafe, and (4) the visit must end before the coffee gets cold. Well-written, delightful read, and an intriguing idea.

I highly recommend. Oh, and more magical than science, for sure.

Christina, good news! The Part #2 only needs a total of 11, so you can eliminate half of your list for that part.

8565 Finished: Music and Silence for Trim 21

This book was a slog for me. It happened to be one that I owned, so, at least, I can rid my shelves of it. Otherwise, a bit dark and not so easily read despite its short length.

8565 Wow! I did not scroll far enough into the list to see that The Midnight Library was there. It is on my desk right now. Guess I might read that one for January.

Ines, I try to use my LOST books in other challenges throughout the year, too. That makes it more likely for me to get them attempted...and not have them remain LOST.

I think I will go for that one because of length. However, I have to admit to being drawn to both the title and the cover.
