I hear ya, Joy! I always read things not found on Goodreads, so I usually mentally pad my reading totals by 10. On the other hand, GR does allow me to list (most) graphic novels read, so there is that ;)

COOL! Awesomely done Seth!

@Brian, ahh, I sort of figured that might be the case. At $50 for the book I wanted to use my rewards-garnering credit card and avoid PayPal's nefarious exchange rate, but it seems not.

hmmm. thanks for pointing that out. I really wanted that limited edition hardcover though. I'll wait to see if they respond.

At the very least, it sounds worth the read."Sounds terrific - tried to order it and cannot complete the transaction unfortunately. I've emailed them to find out how to get past their step 6, but until then, guess I'll mind my own business.

looks good! any suggestions for non-Twitch users? or is that just like a podcast? also, do we have to register for the con to listen to these?

edit: one of the few authors/characters I'd convince my wife to let me do that for :)

I instantly nabbed the full box set, one of the few authors/characters I'd do that for.

Read
Conan: The Road of Kings first for this KEW read. This has been on my shelves for years, sort of in a 'holding off pastiche/holy grail' type pattern. My review thoughts reveal that while it ended strongly and I gave it 4 stars, it isn't the book I'd long anticipated.

Death Angel's Shadow - finally cracking open my Centipede Press edition :)

I'm officially lured in! Just finished ..."Cool! Welcome, looking forward to some more Kane talk.

beauty of a banner, Seth! I'm not very good at keeping in time with these reads but I'll be eagerly watching and planning on partaking in this Kane read.

Well-presented CA. I look forward to your further authoring adventures.

Into the Badlands was an awesome show, very disappointed it finished unfinished.

those are definitely some standouts, Lyndon. always glad to hear reads and rereads continue!

Jack, you're standing's good in my book. Heh. I'm with you part way - I enjoy Willow, think Dark Crystal dumb, never been able to watch it through, never understood the fuss.

Finally reading, really, THEIVES' WORLD. And MCDONALDIZATION: THE READER. Just cuz that's how I roll.

So
Death's Sting--Where Art Thou?: A Heroic Anthology of Immortal Protagonists has been generating a lot of positive buzz, but it seems to mostly be appearing in conversations with me, not online. If you happen to be one who reads it, please post a review or star cluster on Amazon or Goodreads, thank you.
In other news, the RBE 2020 open calls have begun, with a S&S title currently open at

better late then never, correct? As it is, I've just finished my first book of 2020, so that's the bigger news. Can't recall a time in my life wherein I haven't finished a single book over a 70 day period. Ugh.
Anyway, I don't do extensive reviews anymore - too many whiners, too many times Goodreads app has lost 'em, and too little time. In this case,
Echoes of Valor II rated 3 stars from me, even though opening with the 5-star REH double set of 'Frost Giant's Daughter.' Leigh Brackett and Manly Wade Wellman helped things considerably, but all the other stuff? I could have done without. This is the first time I've been disappointed in a KEW project, and the first time in a while I didn't find the contents of a heroic anthology to live up to the billing.
