Arrrggghhhh! Crom damn it all!

Not S&S, you're safe š
Instead of Brooks and Jordan I read Feist - and I truly believe I came out ahead (that's the group he belongs in). A number of fun and great characters with one somewhat underserved secondary character that would so be awesome to read at least a novel about.

Wow. Disappointing and very short-sighted.

No kidding!

I agree, Richard! Numerous characters to delight us hopefully. And while I loved the Riftwar books, the Serpent War is my fave, with Rupert and Erik. I was reading that during the time in life I was creating my online persona and I've been Howard von Darkmoor ever since š

I've come to learn southwest Texas ranch country doesn't find much interest in spec fic. Even my nearest library has essentially no fantasy -- even in ebook! so I was delighted to find an exchange store that actually has a fairly large section of SFF, including a nice collection of anthologies wherein I was able to find some new-to-me titles for the library:
The Year's Best Fantasy First Annual CollectionYear's Best Fantasy 2Robert Adams' Book of Alternate WorldsRobert Adams' Book of SoldiersThe Best of Planet Stories 1Highwaymen: Robbers and RoguesA very happily spent $12!

Ha! Not my most dignified, but thanks! š

Well THAT'S super cool! You a GR guru? š How do I get an image up there?

Thanks for alerting the earthier team, Seth! Crappy author link here though, eh?

I thoroughly enjoy DEATH ANGEL'S SHADOW, and I agree that while I like the Kane novels, I find his shorts more powerful and poignant. Or would that be KEW's shorts versus his novels?

Seth, that's been in my TBR pile for a few years, I'll be interested to see what you say, Seth.

I don't normally dumpster dive...
but when I do I find a book :)
Took the recycling into the dump and discovered
Star Hunter/Voodoo Planet lying atop the paper bin. Fine shape, so home it came with me :) Can't beat surprise free!

cool scores!

Awesome! My very favorite of Kane's stories. I shall listen right now as I work on repairing my knife.

I'm sorta cheating, as I started Kings of the Wyld a month ago š
That anthology looks cool Seth!

Mary, I notice you've been reading several Moeller titles. I enjoy his short stories, how do his novels/series hold up?

thanks for the share, Jon, I'm always looking for compelling cover artwork

congrats on the finds! that very same Lamb title started me on my collection of Lamb's biographies, which led to discovering his shorts via Howard Andrew Jones' collected works.

well-written, great historical presentation of S&S, John
