Wow, those are both great. The sisters look amazing, what a great group of humans. They really seem to just get in there and get it done.

As a mom (hell, as a human), that's a pretty hard reality to grasp. It's very easy to pull the warm blanket of a lovely m/m romance over our eyes but the reality is that there's a long way to go.
Hey, did you all notice this groups mention at the end of Afflicted II? If this has already been referenced, just ignore me.At Loc 3647 on Kindle:

Pretty sweet. Susan should be very proud.
Thanks Brandon :)
I was sort of panicking along with Hunter at that point. I'm like that in a club with my sight.I hope Someone helped him out.

So jealous. I love the snow. I used to live in Oregon, in a valley. We didn't get a lot of snow, just a couple times a year, but I miss it so much. If it would just cool off, it'd be nice. I saw a bank sign today that read 90 degrees F. That's way too crazy hot for December, no matter where you are.
Thanks for the snow Baba. I love it :)
No, no gratuitous sex scenes in these books, or in Brandon's writing, at all, I don't think. I just meant in other works I don't really have a problem with it, if it's an enjoyable scene, but it's always better when it is part of, and works with, the story. The plot and arc worked particularly well in this book. As I've said, the connection from beginning to end of both I and II is perfect.
My review focused a great deal on the sex-capades of this book, but there is so much more here. The best part of it all though, for me, is how it all ties together. In other words the story doesn't stop to squeeze in a sex scene. I'm pretty cool with gratuitous sex, but I like it so much better when it's part of the story.
:D

I love this answer Brandon, but admittedly it's gonna make me crazy not knowing what we "should" have noticed.
It's interesting to see how we do make assumptions about characters, isn't it? I suppose it's a pretty strong part of human nature to do so. We have had to make assumptions based on limited information to evolve. But boy, can assumptions ever get you into trouble, huh?
I think Hunter's entire life had been consumed with assumptions. He assumed everyone thought he was weak. He assumed this so much he didn't give anyone a chance to prove themselves differently. Until Dillon, I suppose. Margie saw through this brilliantly though, didn't she?
I appreciate that you're not interested in trying to influence your readers after the fact. It must be so weird to have us all pick apart every aspect of your work. I wonder how you take it all with a grain of salt.

@Anna B - Nope, not even one of the hawt scenes and yet so, so worthy.
Have no fear though, the hawt scenes (and there are several) are each very steamy, and visual, and re-readable. Very, very re-readable.
:D

Shirley wrote: "He made him feel like a sex God! And I think Hunter appreciated that much more than an apology. He felt wanted and he relished the fact that Dillon wanted to brag about his prize stallion to his ex-clients."
I've looked at this scene from several angles and couldn't love it more. You totally nailed it here Shirley. Very well said.
I want to talk about the kid, but I don't even know the questions to ask yet. It's all kinda mixed up still in my head.
Hunter wasn't in the mood to hear excuses and we didn't get to see the scene through Dillon's eyes, so it's hard to know how much he tried. But if he set-up the "remedy", he knew he was in hot water already. Dillon doesn't strike me as a liar, at all, I think he was probably crawling over the heads of the people on the dance floor to get to Hunter.
I'm just not sure if it came across in the book strong enough, or if it just wasn't enough for me. Then again, one ear lick and Dillon could leave me blind, naked and freezing on a icy mountaintop. ;P
