You really are raising awareness. I know because of you I've shared your links. I hope it all translates to improvement. Honestly, I did not know how many homeless were teenage, much less how many were homeless simply because of their identity. You changed that.

You know "we" mostly go around not seeing these situations. Life is busy, we have our own problems, etc... But it seems if this were right in front of me, like it was for Carey, I couldn't ignore it. I'd like to think I would have done what Carey did.

Hey Nancy, I second Baba's rec for first read. Afflicted is amazing. I haven't read The Value of Rain...yet, but I do know it is a heavier read. Completely worthy I'm sure though. Brandon's writing has the tendency to really grip you and consume your thinking.

You hit gold getting Brandon to pick up your prompt and personally I can't thank you more for getting him to write more for us :) I'm really looking forward to it.

I like the new look Brandon. My only thought is on the links at the top; bio, books, blog, etc. The gray could be just a bit brighter. On my screen anyway, they could have been missed. I wouldn't go away from the black/white/gray scheme though, I like it. It's perfect for showcasing different book covers that you'll be showing.

Otherwise everything is clean and easy to use. I think it should serve you very well.

Thanks for letting us know here about this Brandon. I can't believe how intrigued I am already about this. Something tells me you'll have something special to say.

There's a neat google image trick that helps you to find nearly any image. It's pretty cool. Sorry I can't give the models name, but this is the source of the originally blogged image.
