Just lazing under a shady palm tree with a cold tropical drink in my hand and wishing that cabana boy would come over and put some oil on my back. My thong just slipped and I might get a burn on my bum.

I use FB for family and mostly just from behind the scenes anymore. It's so "all encompassing" AND invasive.

With twitter I still wonder what I don't know about it but I keep doin' it anyway. I hope no one minds all my faux pas. :P

I can tell this is going to be a great group. The people here are all fabulous.

You know I've read the book and am still digesting it and all it's deeper meanings. For a short read there is a lot to discover.

Just now, reading the blurb above a new thing, that I hadn't considered, dawned on me.

I hadn't considered the deaths Stephen had to deal with in his childhood and how they connected with the larger story and primarily the ending.

(view spoiler)[In one part of the book we learn that Stephen believes he is responsible for his parents deaths. At the end of Dust does he succumb to that feeling again? Does he feel responsibility for Dustin's death because Dustin's father saw the letter?

I was just caught up in the fact that Dustin hadn't gotten to read that last letter (and know Stephen "got it") that this other aspect didn't dawn on me until right now. (hide spoiler)]

That's a whole new spear that just went through me. I'm so connected to Stephen that it's hard to contain my anger at the situation. I've lived in areas where reality is what Brandon describes in his book. It's too real and just makes me crazy.

I'm LisaT, or Lisa, or whatever (I've been called everything at one point or another). I'm new to Brandon's work, as I think most of us are, but I couldn't love it more.

I've just finished and reviewed Listening to Dust and Afflicted. Both are 5 star reads for me.

I'll look forward to meeting and talking to everyone.
