Brandon, I'm curious to know if you're surprised about women enjoying your work so much? Your books strike me as being quite different from much of the gay romance that I have read, which is often intended for a straight female audience.Other than Afflicted, your focus hasn't been on romance. Even Afflicted has a much different flavor and feel than typical m/m romance. So, does it surprise you that "we've" discovered and embraced your writing?
Hey Fangtasia, glad you made it. There's a reread of Afflicted on Nov. 26th, hopefully you'll join in for that.
Will there be more about Toby?I'm curious to know what the biggest hurdles will be for Hunter and Dillon. Trust, communication, family, etc.
From the blurb:Their journey together comes to a thrilling conclusion.
I would like to know what you mean when you use the word "thrilling". Thrilling? Really. I do not trust you.
*Hmph
Oh yeah, and I can't wait too...either :D
deirdre, since I've been using twitter more lately I rarely even look at FB. I guess I'm trying to keep FB for family (those who don't really need to know about my "other" life) and twitter for everything else that's fun. FB has just gotten too invasive. I'm having a blast on twitter though. Glad you're there with me!

*Squee and *Yay!!!!
I'm looking forward to the reread too :)
Do you plan to have books on shelves? Am I right in thinking that you supply/donate books to organizations? Is that part of your motivation for making printed books?

:D
Man, you knew I'd have to click that link, didn't you?Glad violence is a thing of your past. Good to know.
If the world truly had cannabis condoms, wouldn't it be a much less violent place?
I'm hoping we're going to get to meet-up at GRL next year more than ever now.I really never got the a-hole, mud stompin' vibe, but if you say so.
*reminder to self, don't piss off the Shire!
It makes me crazy that this has become "a thing" with authors. Can someone explain the reasoning behind this? What drives someone like this? Eh, I guess I'd rather not discuss it. I hate to give someone so small minded page time.Brandon, getting to know you through your writing, your activism and now here in your group is all I need to know about you. You are a delightful human.
I love the picture too. I did, however, have a mental image of you. It was of a lanky, sweater vest, sexy professor type. I don't know why, but that's what I had. I love that you shared your image. I wonder where my mind will go with that now ;P
It's apparent, now that you mention this, that this philosophy has meaning in your life and it shows in your writing. Hunter's perspective has a rather Zen and enlightened feel to it. Am I wrong there? His compassion towards others may be his most alluring quality.
Are you contemplating whether you should incorporate your translation into your current writing or are you wondering how to publish your translation?
Oh duh, just refreshed. Thanks Shirley. How could I have not remembered it was during the shower scene?I love the idea for nominating this as best sex scene...excellent idea!!!!
Yay, I found it...just before actually going crazy. Whew, you didn't want to see that. So,...nevermind. :)
Somebody please save my mind. There is a link in Afflicted to a youtube video(?) please tell me the location of the link. It's kind of like an Easter egg. I know it's there and I'm making myself crazy trying to find it again.
Thanks!
I think it's safe to say that everyone in this group was thrilled to nominate such worthy books by such a deserving author. It was certainly a pleasure to do so, for me.
