I secretly enjoy moving...however my husband hates it with a passion and has declared we are never, ever moving again. We'll see!

And, I wear my bifocals all day at the office, immediately take them off when I get home and hardly ever put them back on unless I'm going back to work or driving at night. :)

I too call the Bees my online book club. It's a part of my every day life, and half the time when I'm reading something interesting in the break room it's because one of the Bees recommended it - so! Somehow you people get brought up! :)
Good luck Rita. When I went last with my headaches it meant bifocals. I was 31 at the time and rather traumatized. :P

and, I'm excited that one of our new members is my cousin, Tami. :) Welcome, girl! (though on GR she's Tamera...however after 33 years I can't think of her in her formal name!)

It's also a bit overwhelming. I think I'm going to have to go dig out a fluffy book to soothe my brain a bit.

I actually don't let my kids play on the hills. They are too close to the street, and too easy for the kids to get hurt on. I told my husband tonight, it's not 1985 and we don't live in Northwood. (Northwood is the small rural town we grew up in - population 1000)

Story:
I live on a corner lot. The corners get piled up with snow when the snowplows clear the streets. The snow gets pushed into quite a hill in my front yard near the berm.
This hill is attractive to children with sleds. I get that. HOWEVER after watching for the third time the sliding down the hill and into the street coincide with when a car was coming, I decided it looked suspiciously like the kids were waiting for cars to come and timing their slides in a "Chicken" like game. I opened the front door and hollered out that if they wanted to slide down the hill to slide towards my house because "I don't want squished kids in front of my house." I said if they wanted to slide into the street and in front of cars they weren't doing it in my yard.
and so...the father of one of these abused children shows up at my house 45 minutes later asking what our problem is with their kid. SERIOUSLY?!?! Thankfully Mike answered rationally and eventually the guy figured out he hadn't gotten the whole story from his kid. But that child - who is 2 years older than my son - spends half his summer in my backyard in our kids' sandbox, which is FINE, it's why I have the fun stuff at my house, because I'd rather be where the kids show up than where mine want to go. But in the nearly 7 years we've lived here, and 3 years that kid has been showing up here to play in our yard with my kids' toys he doesn't show up until I ask the kids to kindly not kill himself in front of my house. And I'm the bad guy. Huh.
OK, rant over. Gabe is feeling better, will return to school tomorrow and all will be well. :)

Well, I guess I kind of figured he'd be home sick one day this week. He has a virus and he just needs to rest to fight it, so he's in bed now. Guess I'll have to read so I'm quiet while he rests?

GABE GOT 2nd IN HIS PINEWOOD DERBY!!!!!
I have a thrilled little boy! :) Totally the right decision to send him to school today with his cough...cuz he got to have this experience tonight. :) Happy, happy Mama.

Tonight Gabe is at his first Pinewood Derby. I think my husband is about 10 times more excited than Gabe. :)
