749599 Sooooo, I got my hands on the book which I didn't expect, and I started it and had actual motivation to read, so I guess I'll be jumping in on this BR.
749599 Oh, yes Dawes and Alex 😂 I had her roomie in mind, Mercy. But, yeah D&A is even better because they didn't have a great start.

I would like to, but the chances for that are so low that they are nonexistent. I probably can't get my hands on the book, plus my work week starts tomorrow so no reading will happen.
749599 The Wheelwalker, yes, I hope there's more about them in the next book, and possibly more of them and normal ones at that 😅
I hope there's going to be more friends parts in the future, I like that she's having healthy friendships.
749599 * OMG! How did I FORGET that she killed her drug buddies?

* Ahhhh, Alex and Turner being civil and working together, I like that.

So I finished the book! 🥳
749599 I like that the book is dark, and doesn't shy away from some things, but the Blake situation, with literal shit eating made me sick.
749599 Reading your buddy's theories and thoughts on the book is why I love BRing... however I wasn't feeling like reading last year, and I see it's looking like that again this year, so I try not to jump into BRs because I like to comment as we are reading along while both or more of us are still in the dark.

I forgot Belbalm too, and I can't remember what's the thing about her.. is she Daisy?...somehow 🤔 I know there's some twist or something about Daisy, but I can't remember it.
749599 @Jen
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
749599 So, since we know Darlington isn't dead (still reading it, but I remember that) do you think the moment Alex slept in Darlington's bed and thought/dreamt he was behind her actually happened? She said she felt claws and that makes me think hell and demons.

HA, so there IS a part where we get a ghost buddy. I thought it was here, but it felt wrong so I thought it was another book.

I finished chapter 13, and that's it from me for today. If it wasn't so descriptive I probably would've read more, but... I remember that I enjoyed the book the first time I read it, and I still like it, but I'm not mindblown... maybe that'll happen with the second book.. if I even manage to finish this one. I'm sorry I was a bad buddy for this.
749599 🥳 Great. I'll try to read today because it's my off day.

Yes, her writing got so much better when you compare it to the Shadow and Bone books, and it's so wonderful to follow her on her journey.
749599 I wanted to read more yesterday, however I managed only the first chapter and that was it before I felt sleepy. Today I finished chapter 4. I don't have much to say about it. I didn't remember that Darlington didn't like Alex when he heard about her and when he met her.

749599 I wasn't able to start it as planned, but I'm gonna get a coffee and try to read as much as I can. In the meantime lemme comment on your thoughts.

• When I read the book I constantly forgot Bardugo wrote it, and thought I was reading a Victoria Schwab book.
• Yes, the info dump, I remember it and honestly I'm a bit scared to start it because I remember how chunky it was.

Where did you get to?
749599 Okay, let's try it like that. I hope I'll be more free those days, because now around new year things are very chaotic.

I don't know how many chapters there are, and over how many days you are reading it. So when you guys find that out I'll update the thread.
749599 @Edith
Since we didn't really plan anything I just made the thread, and we'll plan it as we go. I probably won't be checking much GR in the next couple of days, but feel free to leave a comment.
