I think the Veronica Roth ones are certainly closer to Hunger Games in imagination and style but they also seem to be following the same basic trilogy formula that defined the Hunger Games series which seems to be a growing trend in YA dystopias.

I didn't really like Jack but I lived Bigby and Snow. The Pinocchio reference made me laugh a lot. Other than that I thought it was pretty average, I could tell the plot twist a mile off and didn't really like Rose as a character.

As far as my first experience of Philip K Dick went, I hated the first three or four chapters and almost gave up, I started reading A Scanner Darkly instead and found the first couple of chapters of that so wonderful and confusing as he'll hat I decided to out it aside and go back to Androids. Overall I loved the book but thought it could have benefited from being less confusing. I loved the ending because I think the best dystopias are open ended.

Update: I have just finished my 96th book and worked out that out of all of those, 52 were novels and the remaining 44 were graphic novels, which when you consider I only really started getting into them three or four months ago is pretty decent!

When all my friends and family were buying PS3s and Xbox 360s I still didn't have a console (or much money) so I bought a friends original Xbox off her along with 33 games for £30 and I have been in love with the Xbox ever since. I'm so glad I finally have a 360 and can start playing new games. I plan on getting Skyrim soon.

I wish Daenerys's dragons were ageing a little quicker, her storming King's Landing with three fully grown dragons would make for amazing tv. Dany is my favourite character, I've loved her development so far.
I want to smack Joffrey in the face everytime he comes on screen, he's quite a good villain in the 'makes me sick to the stomach' way. I think Sansa will get better, she's already beginning to understand how vunerable she is and I think all of the advice Cersei has given her has sunk in.
I love Arya, she's my favourite Stark by far. Tyrion is my favourite Lannister, he's hilarious and cunning and I think the horrible way his family has treated him over the years means that he is super tough.
It was definitely one hell of a way to end the series and I am definitely coming back for more! Other highlights for me are Cersei, Varys, Littlefinger and Jacqen. I also loved everything that happened in Qarth.

I finally got an Xbox 360 yesterday (my girlfriend rocks) and so far I've only played Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Dead Rising 2 and I love them both so much. I can see many hours of happy gaming to follow. Yet to play that I got yesterday are; Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Bioshock 2, Deus Ex and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Rising.

Anyone watch the Christmas special? I thought I'd hate the new titles, the TARDIS redesign and Clara but I was swept off my feet very quickly. I'm very in love with it all. Madame Vestra should get a spin-off. The next season looks so good.
