73030 I'll take suicide because Image doesn't exist anymore! Or if I'm feeling reasonable I'd pick Marvel but possibly cheat on them with Batman/Batwoman.

73030 I finally got to the store today (was far too cold on Wednesday to try leaving my flat) and picked up:
Saga - loved it, I adore the relationship between Alana and Marko's dad.
And some Marvel Now
Avengers Arena
Captain America
Iron Man
X Men Legacy.
Not read the Marel Now yet, wanted to pick up more titles but these were the only ones I could find. How long has Marvel Now been going? Are these weekly or monthly titles? I'd have asked the nice comic book man but the guy who orders them wasn't in today.

73030 Does Marvel Now require a knowledge of the previous comics? Aside from Civil War I don't really know the Marvel characters.

I think the global success of the Swedish films is what has allowed her to branch out into mainstream Hollywood films. However, not even Lisbeth Salander could get me to watch Prometheus. Also, Noomi Rapace will forever be Lisbeth to me instead of the Hollywood replacement.

73030 Here's a link to his IMDb page. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0293509/ he was Arthur Dent in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

You should definitely make a gaming den, I'm glad uni is over for the break because I'm not leaving my den until after the New Year!

73030 I think LOTR would have benefited from not having Samwise, can't stand him. Doesn't help that I just spent a week watching all of Game of Thrones and there is a human Samwise who is cowardly and annoying and even he is more endearing than Samwise Gamgee. I'm looking forward to the Hobbit though because Martin Freeman is amazing and I'm so glad to be watching something with Ian McKellan in again.

73030 Chimney - you can't have it but I'm willing to share. It is so comfy, I wish I never ever had to leave it!

73030 Oh Chimney that Worrible thing is adorable! I wants. I just turned a corner of my bedroom into an Xbox gaming den but to make it comfy I've covered it in cushions and all my old teddy bears. I don't think I ever want to leave it!
73030 Kay - Black Books is very crass and unsophisticated! It is amazing.

This entire comment made no sense to me. What is Goya soda? I'll pretend I have a clue though. RAGE! That must have sucked. I'm at my most annoyed in a supermarket when they run out of decent peanut butter.
73030 So jealous. Netflix only recently came to the UK so so far it has a very limited connection compared to this. Was using it to watch Heroes but have kind of given up mid way through season 3.

73030 Chimney - am I right in thinking it's Minerva? Your traditions sound amazing, I hate that as you get older some of them fade away. Once I found out Santa wasn't real I used to help my mum take all the presents into the living room when my brother was asleep, I made an amazing elf!

Lela - I don't think decorations are huge in Britain (possibly because i live in the city) so I've never really gotten to drive round laughing at them. My Nanny took me to a house one year that was covered in lights, it was the craziest I've seen over here.

73030 I chose Minnie Mouse wrapping paper this year for my presents, by which I mean I made my girlfriend wrap all of my presents in Minnie Mouse wrapping paper. When I was young my mum would have a different colour paper for me and my brother so we could see what presents belonged to each other without the need for tags, just one of the silly traditions I'm bringing to Christmases with my girlfriend now that we live together.

Does anyone else have any traditions they have each year? For a while my mum got quite down around the holidays so we would try to have alternative Christmases, the best ones were when we didn't have Xmas dinner but for three or four years we had a vegetarian curry and then chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Reading that back I realise just how crazy my family is!

73030 I'm so glad this month is Dystopia month for me! There are some other books in front of this one for me this month but I can't wait to start reading it!

73030 I think it fits more with the content of the book than a tattoo that has nothing to do with the story. The Girl With the Wasp Tattoo would make more sense than dragon because it is much more integral to the story.

73030 Anna - It was originally called Men Who Hate Women but the English translation publications didn't think that would go over well or sell with English speaking readers.

73030 Aww that's adorable! I've got one present left to wrap and then I'm all done. I suck at wrapping so they look awful though.

73030 I loved the books, just wish they had kept the Swedish title for it all, my mum couldn't get into the book though, I guess I'm just a fan of too much detail and waffling on, I preferred book Blomkvist anyway and thought the books (mainly the last one) gave an amazing insight into Salander. I've only seen the first Swedish film but will get to the others and the American film over the Xmas period no doubt. I definitely plan on picking up the comic at some point, I love everything about this story so will read it in any form.
