I think the ending was almost to be expected just because it was so Charlie Brooker and I spent half of it wondering when he was going to hit us with the social commentary on reality television, with zombies both watching and participating in it. Not that it's a criticism of him because he does write really true to the bone stuff but I was expecting it the entire time.

Anna and Chimney - I'm not entirely sure how to post photos on here (I'm useless with all thing technical) but I've got 'curiouser and curiouser written around my wrist with a cupcake on the inside of my wrist. I have pictures up on my Twitter feed but they aren't very good my user name is @Speling_Expirt One day I think I want to turn it into a literary bottom half sleeve or full sleeve but I'm worried that I'd be screwed job wise.

One of the things I enjoy most about the Walking Dead comics is Kirkman's refusal to make them run.
I think the best thing about slow zombies is that with fast ones you know you'd be on high alert all the time because you're expecting them to run at you but with slow ones you could almost relax while walking along and then BRAINS there's one appeared out of nowhere because it came out of that door so slowly you didn't see him and then you're dead.
I might think about zombie scenarios too much.

So as well as picking up Saga and Willow Wonderland, I ended up grabbing a few random things as well. I got the first volume of Fables, being in love with all things Fairytales I thought I'd give it a go, I also picked up Halloween Eve - great art, so so story - and Batman Year One for my girlfriend (but actually for me as we have a joint collection now mwahahahaha).

My favourite fanfic is Dalton, I hated Blaine until I read that. It was so much better than the show.
I mean what show, I don't watch Glee

You want to visit Glasgow? I think I can honestly say I've never met anyone that wants to visit here more than anywhere else! I didn't bother going to visit the set until my Nanny came through to see me and I took her along, despite being 67 she's so cool. She recently visited the set of a Nicole Kidman/Colin Firth film every day because they were filming in the house she spent summers in as a child in our home town of North Berwick.
I did consider auditioning to be a zombie but the auditions were on a Saturday and I was working all day. Sad face.
The only time I've found fast zombies to be scarier than slow ones was when I watched Dead Set because it was the first time I'd seen them. My reaction was 'Oh crap I couldn't outrun them. Noooooo.' After that I got over them quickly.

Although why A-Babies vs X-Babies isn't considered cool I will never understand...
I'm finally going to go into town and pick up my pull list. (On that note sorry for my drunken tweet Kay) I have been so excited to finally get issue 7 of Saga. If Buffy was my gateway comic, Saga pushed me through the gate and locked it up so I could never go back.

The only thing that excited me about the trailer was the entire first half in the traffic jam and where you see them all running across the square with red gravel because it was filmed in Glasgow, which is where I live, and apart from adding yellow traffic lights it's like they haven't even tried to hide that it's Glasgow. The big fancy building you see on the bottom part of the square is our city council chamber. I spent the entire first part of the trailer freaking out and rambling about how it was Glasgow and it looked awesome.
It was only after that bit that I calmed down enough to notice the zombies could run. Bleurgh.

It made me remember how terrified of mannequins I used to be so I'm sure I'll be really thankful for that next time I go shopping...
Some thoughts on the first episode.
- I had forgotten how good Eccleston was, without him I think it is safe to say that Tennant and Smith never would have stood a chance to shine.
- Everytime he grabbed Rose by the hand or told her to shut up I cringed. I know the Doctor has a reputation as using a woman as plot device and something for the fanboys to look at but it really annoyed me, this was 2005 not the 1950s!
- I also found it jarring how many times he spoke negatively about humans, I guess I'm more used to the more recent Doctor who while coming across as both angry at and jealous of humans he still puts them up on a pedestal because they are worth more than anyone would think at first glance and will save them every single time. The way he looks and talks down about them as if they were nothing more than scum I found extremely irritating.
I can't wait until episode two! I can usually get through a tv show pretty quickly but I'm rationing myself with this one for once.

One day a girl from the slums accidentally uses magic without realising she has the potential and suddenly a hunt to find her is on! If she can't control it she could blow up the city! If they let in one girl from the slums do they have to let in anyone with potential!
Mayhem ensues and it has a truly horrible bad guy too!

I think getting my iPad has helped me to read even more though. If I was in the mood to read but was visiting friends or family or not in my flat I would do something else instead, but now that I have books with me always I read automatically!

So I went to the other one and it was perfect, less cramped and less crowded than the other one and the guy said there was no minimum on titles. Anyway, I added Saga and Willow Wonderland and then decided to check out this A-Babies vs X-Babies and also picked up the first volume of Chew.
I'm excited to get them both read and also to have a store I actually like going to!
