721 I think The Conversion by AA Amanda Lohrey is my third novel in as many months that includes the staging of a play as a key component of the plot. I'm really not that keen on theatre myself, to be honest. However, here the play is significant without taking up too many pages. Overall I enjoyed the novel very much.

721 😱 Scrublands limited series coming to Stan in November - how did I not know this sooner??? Trailer looks great, although Martin Scarsden is being played a little younger than I imagined.

721 It's been a very, very long time since I last read Jeffery Archer, but I slipped right back into the groove with Traitors Gate. Great fun.

721 Tom Lake is another winner from Ann Patchett, although I have to admit the audiobook didn't work for me.

721 Thanks Diana, that suits me - looking forward to it
721 Trying to be generous about this, I think it’s possibly something you could do in your own home, where you’re familiar with the books, but it doesn’t translate to retail at all.

721 Tiger by Polly Clark is an absolute gem. Well-researched and extremely satisfying.

721 It was a great story, and one of the most unexpected joys was to see Claire and Jamie (from Nightingale) pop up again. I haven't read all of McIntosh's historical fiction (she writes faster than I can read them) but they are always reliably good and this one was no exception.
