61281 Hahaha; heaven knows we should space out the drama with something light! I might have to throw in My Life Undecided somewhere between all these heavy books.

61281 Jessica, Everneath was tragic? Oh mannnnn. This year's group of books coming out will be the death of me, hahah.

Really? I like young adult not because I'm a teenager but because I like watching characters grow up, find themselves. And I especially like reading tragic, angsty, really sad books when I'm feeling down on my own life, because it allows me to feel connected to somebody else's problems, even if they are just made up. Because at least if I'm crying over a book, I'm not crying about my own life. (;

The Lovely Bones is alright so far...has anybody here read it before? It's kind of detached and skips around a lot, hahah. I'm trying to get into the grove of it, but Sebold has built a really weird sort of voice!

61281 Oh goodness, I need to find this therapy group!
I know it couldn't have gone any other way; that's what bothers me most about it. D:

Oh well, I'm moving onto The Lovely Bones, which I thought was on my list, but evidently is it. OTL. Jessica, I like sad stories, too! Give me a tragedy over a happy ending any day of the week!

61281 Hey Freebird! Good to see you! (;

Sir Gawain! You'll have to let me know how you like it! I only have it on ebook right now, so I dread reading it on my computer, hahah.

61281 I might have to throw in the towel. I just finished Clockwork Prince; I don't know if I can even fathom trying to read another book right now. Or ever.

Oh my heartttttt. *breaks*

61281 Only fifteen hours?! My goodness, I could spend like 200+ on one playthrough (would usually last me through half the year, haha)! I'm such a hound about getting all the extra stuff though, hah. It's been like, eight years since I first played FFX-2, and I've never gotten 100% completion. ;-;

I wish I had the systems for the new Zelda games! I don't have any handhelds, and alas, my Wii was taken. *sigh* They look so wonderful!

Aw, thanks, sweetie! Phantom will always be my first love. <3 I definitely would not be who I am without it, and when I reread the book just a few months ago, and Christine went with Raoul I just akrnhyerkvarnhwnk4hr. *rampage* I'm such a Phantom fangirl!

61281 Hahah, if you look rather closely, it's really mostly the same twenty books over and over again in different lists, to make it look like I'm doing a lot. (; Eragon is on like, at least ten of those lists, hahah.

Oh, thanks! I've heard great things about pinterest, but I don't know how to sign up, hahah.

61281 Hun, just get a PS2, and you'll be set for life, the way I see it. (; I suppose that's another thing I have to thank my brothers for; when the PS2 first came out, they saved for months to buy one together, and then left it behind when they eventually moved out! Huzzah!

Most people think I'm older than I am! That makes me very happy, actually. (: I made a Phantom of the Opera video a couple months ago (you can see it here, if you so wish! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPbHbo... ) and somebody commented on my YouTube profile commending me on my ability to feel such emotions at such a young age, hahah. I suppose my ability to cry over the "little things" makes me seem older! ;D

61281 Oh, probably not, hahah. The first time I posted on that list was like, June of last year? I usually just read something and hope it's on one of my challenges! And then I make sure one book is on several different lists to knock more out at one time, hahah.
Jan 27, 2012 09:03PM

61281 Oh yep, I'm a youngn'! I think I'm the youngest one here, right? x) Ahhh, Ocarina of Time was only the beginning of my nerdiness! I think my brothers might have regretted introducing that one to me, as I am now the ultimate nerd, especially for good video games. I made a Lord of the Rings video for my friends birthday in July, and when my brother saw it, he nearly died hahah.

Though, I mourn the fact that my one brother took the Wii when he moved out with his wife and I never did get to finish Twilight Princess. It haunts me, hahha. OTL.

Hey, I still play on my Nintendo 64! (; Nothing retro about it; that's the way to go! I'll whip out Mario Tennis sometimes and just go at it for a couple hours!

Oh April, so glad to hear somebody else who likes Final Fantasy. <3 I'm anxiously awaiting the release of XIII-2. I saw spoilers for the ending, and I'm just about going to die! But alas, FFX did me in forever. The story of Tidus and Yuna drowned my heart in tragedy and beauty and alas, I have never been the same since then. <3

61281 My brothers are nine and a half, and seven and a half years older than me; I've grown up with the more mature stuff, hahaha! The first video game I ever played was Legend of Zelda when I was five-ish, and from that, I played Final Fantasy X at six-ish, and it was T. (; LotR was NO problem for me! I loved it, hahah.

But Jurassic Park III in theatres was too much for me when it came out! x)

I have to say, I saw the Hobbit trailer in theatre, and I almost cried because I was so thrilled! It looks AMAZING!

61281 I feel like all of us do a lot of challenges, hahah. This is actually my entire list of challenges!

61281 Well, woo hoo for Eragon becoming suddenly popular! :D I have to blaze through The Lovely Bones for my school book club, and also Tris and Izzie, which is, thankfully, on this challenge shelf! And then Eragon HERE WE COME!

April, as for my brothers' contribution, heck yes, it was one of the best things they ever did for me. (; That and taking me to see the films in theatre when they came out, regardless of the fact that I was only six! (:

61281 Okay, no, I found you! born5, right? There's one picture up? (:

61281 When I click on that, it says request denied. XD

What's your tumblr URL? Like mine is thaliasbooks.tumblr.com ?
Jan 26, 2012 01:37PM

61281 I probably won't attempt Poe until the summer, hahah; or read it over the course of the year, while reading other things. (I don't feel so compulsive about my one-book-at-a-time rule with a collection of short stories.)

Hahah, that's what sons are for! My brothers never did much reading. The only thing they contributed to my love of novels was handing down their LotR sets to me. (:
Jan 26, 2012 01:25PM

61281 April, link your tumblr! I'd love to follow you! (:
Jan 26, 2012 01:24PM

61281 My favorite was The Cask of Amontillado as well! I read that one a couple years ago, when I did a speech on Poe in middle school. I'm reading The Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe - Complete Collection (Annotated). So it has everything in there, hahah. It'd be fun to not do it alone! (:

And definitely! You are welcome to join us. (:

61281 Huns, it's "tumblr". The lack of E is a statement to the intelligence of kids these days. (;

Does only blogspot have a roll? Since my blog is hosted on tumblr I have to make up all my own widgets. OTL

I'm on a school computer, so I'll add you when I get home Dalynn. (:

61281 Also, who's the one reading Dorian Gray this month?! I chose that as my classic book last year for English and I L O V E D it! Except for chapter eleven, hahah. (:

Anyyyywaaaay, if you ever want somebody to talk to about it. (:
