This is a work of fiction, but is based on the fact that the CIA helped to smuggle Doctor Zhivago into the USSR using spies and agents in the late 1950s."
This book catched my eye during voting for the GR award but now it looks even more appealing. And a funny thing I found recently a German edition of Doctor Zhivago on my shelf and since it's not the Polish one I was convinced it was (and I'm not that much into classics - especially the Russian) I wanted to give it away but after seeing your post decided to give it a try - I still can give it away afterwards *grins*
Thank you!

Thanks for the update!

I must be a bit of a masochist because I keep on reading the series, regardless of him.
LOL"
I'm not so sure about the masochist part, since very many people love Agatha Christie books and she was crowned the Queen of Mystery. When I read a book with characters I dislike very strongly I'm often unable to look further and see any other aspects or anything else in the story. So I'm glad my very first of her books was Murder on the Orient Express because othewise I'd never made it that far and it was really a brilliant crime she crafted there.
There is only one of her books book I actually loved And Then There Were None. I read three of the Miss Murple mysteries and have to admit I don't like her much more and declared this series for done. I suppose it's just not my style.
BTW: I updated your progress.

* By 1930, Agatha Christie found Poirot "insufferable", and, by 1960, she felt that he was a "detestable, bombastic, tiresome, ego-centric little creep""
Strange she needed that long. I disliked him from the very first book and gave up on him after the second *grins*
Ladies, I updated your progress.
