Originally I was very excited until my father (whom I borrowed the book from) asked why I want to read read it since it's a horror? Since then I dread it because I think it's a very intense psychological thriller and I'm rather struggling with those. Still it's in Polish - my first mother language and I'll give it a try and hope even finish it.

Good to know. I already struggled through Treasure Island over Christmas and had the same issue but since I know it I'll start with the book later today.
Luckily I read it for the first time in Polish (way, way back) but that helps to get the general idea. I suppose I just mark the words I don't understand at all and look them up later.
