Well Dan, you are welcome to leave the group just as you were welcome to join. I started this group with the hope that we would have members join with a wide range of vampire experience and likes/dislikes. What we all have in common is a love of vampire books. You are welcome to share your opinion of what a vampire should be in our threads (and obviously you don't think that is sparkly) or start new threads to discuss the classics. Either way, it seems that this group isn't what you expected, so if you decide to leave, I hope you have better luck with the next group you try!

So you are saying you only like vamps that HAVE to kill their prey?!

I love how different our tastes are...You like horror. I like romance and fantasy...I don't enjoy the dark like you do. lol.

Anyway, I'm a fan of vamps that drink from humans but don't kill them (unless they want to or if they lose their control). I mean, I'm not opposed to vamps that kill their prey when it's warranted. And I don't mind authors that get around this issue by having blood banks set up. The way technology is now-a-days, that almost seems more realistic.

And to answer your question, normally the books I've read with vamps drinking from other vamps...its because they HAVE to (vampire blood is superior to human blood and that's what they need), but they don't kill their prey.
