439228 Alrighty - so here's round 1 of recommendations!

Since it's October, I'm going to start with a spooky book
NOS4A2. One of my book clubs read this for September and it was a great story. I don't know if you like audio books, but this one on audio is pretty good.

Next I think The Night Circus. I just adored the atmosphere of this novel. I think I heard they are making a movie of this book and I think it would make a fantastic movie!

Next I'll choose Beartown. I am blown away with how amazing Backman is writing about human nature. And if you like this one - the sequel is maybe even better.

Next up I will go with a YA book that I loved this year
The Girl Who Drank the Moon. The writing in this book is just beautiful and the story is charming as well.

Last up I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest a poetry book. I know poetry isn't everyone's bag and even for people who do like poetry, it can be a rather personal taste buuuut I'm going to suggest Ariel because it is on your want-to-read list and I love Plath.

439228 I'll second Cuckoo's Calling. That's on my TBR.

439228 Hi Audrey! I want to tell you a bit about myself. I am kindergarten teacher living in Salt Lake City (but not Mormom, lol!). My husband is an urban farmer and I have one 19 year old daughter who is still at home. I love books and am willing to give most anything a try and it is rare for me to dislike a book enough to not finish it. I have a 45 min. each way commute, so audio books save my sanity! (Though I do still love to curl up with a good old-fashioned paper book!) I also love to crochet and I enjoy doing crossfit - though I am by no means awesome at it!

I will make up a list for October for you this weekend! This is my first challenge of this sort and I am really looking forward to it!

439228 Hi Audrey! I'm cool with you recommending books not on my tbr. I look forward to doing this curator challenge with you!

439228 I want to nominate My Cousin Rachel. I read Rebecca in the last year and loved it!
439228 Hi! I’m new to the group and I think this will be a fun way to get to know at least one person in the group.

Name: Katrisa

Favorite genres: I really have a wide taste in books. I love contemporary literary fiction and fantasy probably the most, but I also like graphic novels, horror, sci-fi, classics and non-fiction. I’m not really a romance person though. I enjoy reading outside my race and/or country.

Genres I’m interested in exploring - for the most part I’m open!
