I updated my challenge earlier, but got all caught up in the rereading issue and forgot to make my post here. Now, I'm trying to find something to read in order to give myself a bit of a break from Dresden. Preferably it will be a stand-alone, light and maybe even funny. Free would help too since I need to wait and see if I have to purchase the book club selection from MR.
I put The Iliad aside and continued/continuing with Dresden. What can I say, I love a wizard with a cool trench coat and a big staff!! :DI enjoyed my reread of Fool Moon and am immediately moving on to Grave Peril, which will be a first time read, for me.
I had conversations with the Media Specialist for the school where I volunteer/sub. Although she was born a few years after the war, she is former military, well versed in world history, and has a specific interest in Japan. She helped me understand some of the basic political aspects of Japan's part of the war and the bombing itself.

Riveting and disturbing. This book will stay in my memories for a long time."
I agree. At times my mind didn't know what to do with the information. I had to keep reminding myself that "we" (the US and Japan) were at war.
Click on the ticker itself and it will take you back to the site. You will see your ticker with the options to "Edit/Update Data & Style" right above it. Click that, enter your password (you will need one for each individual ticker) and update as needed.Edit: You can even change the design at the time if you like. I usually update my number and then click next all the way to the end (without changing anything else), just to make sure my change took. You do not need to copy/paste the code again, however. When you refresh the page where your ticker is displayed, you will see the changes you made.
I hope I've explained it well.
You can create your own ticker at http://www.tickerfactory.com. Scroll down until you see the "Objects/Actions Counter" option under Crafts/Hobbies.
Finished Storm Front about an hour or so ago. Will get back to The Iliad next, with an attempt to read chapters 3 to 12 by the end on the weekend.
I hear you. My "bump" in the road was trying to find the right version of
and then switching to it for a day or two. I've decided to finish
, and then go to The Iliad. Unfortunately, it means I'll be behind in the discussion, as that starts on Monday.
My favorite read of 2011 is Eye of the Wizard by MobileRead & Good Reads author Daniel Arenson. - A fun, lighthearted, adventure, fantasy for all ages.
Wow HIMS you're going through your list, like water!! I'm still trying to finish my first book of the year.

I did the same thing last year. I wasn't sure what all I wanted to read, I just wanted to read more than I had been.
