You hit so many nails on their heads! With Meg and Erebus, I liked that she asked for his help, and waited to be sure she'd receive it, instead of making assumptions as to whether he would or wouldn't.
I liked that she was cognizant enough to know that Winter would help her in her time of need, therefore running to the lake.
I appreciated how each character got to know Meg in his or her own way, and how they were able to understand and explain her Megness to Simon. It was especially great to see him fall for her instead of the other way around (not that she doesn't like him, I just don't think she's had the luxury to even consider it).
Christa wrote: "I finished the book last night. Wow. Almost went straight into the next one but decided to put at least one book in between."I think I'm going to do the same.
My buddy read of the Rivers of London series was interrupted by real life. So, I think I'm going to start over and then switch between the two series.
Christa wrote: "Yay! Awesome review, by the way. Basically echoes my feelings about it."Oh, cool! Thank you. :)
First! I laughed so hard when Meg shared our thoughts for Asia's possible outcome, even though it didn't really come to pass. I'm guessing too much freezer burn! *Wicked Grin*Secondly, I love the slow burn attraction going on, although it does seem to be one-sided at the moment. But what a cute family they would make.
Three, I was pleasantly surprised that Winter carried justice all the way to the top, even though the main culprit is still out there.
Four, I think I love everybody at Lakeside Courtyard.

Yes!! To everything you said. Thank you for keeping it "Nyssa-friendly", I really appreciate that! I'm almost done!
I hope you enjoy every page you read during your vacation! :)I tried Wicked a few years ago but didn't finish. I didn't like where the story was heading. I have considered giving it and it's sequel another go, but I'm not sure if I actually will.
Thank Christa for Written in Red, it's all her fault! Lol
I'm loving it! I only have about 4 or 5 chapters left to go.
HA! I wish "a week and a half" was a long time in my world, but I seem to read at a snails pace compared to many.

LOL!!!"
Damn! It was all fun and games before, but shit just got real!
I'm now hoping to see her name as the Moonsday night special!!

LOL!
"and the TSTL Special Meat award goes to...""So-and-so would make a prime cut of Special Meat"
"I don't talk to Special Meat".
"Call the butcher, a delivery just walked in".
"Oh look, Special Meat walking..."

As for the book, I can't! I want to, but I can't. That cover! *shiver*
There are some thoughts I'd like to get out...1. (view spoiler)
2. I didn't realize how much Jack amuses me with the pens until you mentioned it.
3. Of course the ponies & Sam! :)
4 Has anyone else developed a fondness for Henry or Jester as well?
5. I'm sick of Asia already.
6. (view spoiler)
Okay, now back to reading!!
Yay!! I'm almost at the halfway mark and I ditto what Christa says about the Meg! She is neither insufferably Mary-Sue nor TSTL. She knows she's inexperienced and tries to either make the best out of a situation, or allow her fight/flight instinct to do its job.
I have no idea where the story is heading but it's been an interesting ride.
I saw this conversation while I was at work and bought it. Now I have to charge my Kindle so that I can actually read it.

Agreed!!"
Thanks!

I don't include all books I read but textbooks would definitely count.
For example, I haven't included the 10+ times I have read each of t..."
LOL!
The book is really well written. I just wish our class had access to the video component, especially since I'm taking the class as an online course.
