I just finished catching up on your three latest reviews. I've read The Thin Man, and I'm intrigued by the other two. I'm not sure Palace Walk is for me , but will keep an eye out for a copy of Magical Thinking. Thanks!

With the completion of
The Blind Assassin, I've completed 24/25 toward a blackout.

I remember sign of the four, good read. Based on your review of phantastes, I think I will pass it by. Enjoyed your reviews

I still don't fully understand the addi..."You and me both. I've done this once, like you I thought I was screwed because it wouldn't go away. There was a time delay and my reading challenge did correct itself. Hope it works.

Welcome Ingrid

I remember being aggravated with the characters, but I was under a spell and unable to put it down. You're right du Maurier doesn't disappoint.

Welcome to the group Shiwany!

Hello Tom, welcome.

Sofia, I'm glad you joined us, welcome!
Sara wrote: "Thanks, Bob. I hate DNFing anything and especially one by an author I have always enjoyed before. My replacement is a Hardy...surely that will be a winner."Sara, reading Hardy has at times left me emotionally wrecked, but I've never been disappointed. I haven't read The Woodlanders, fingers crossed, I hope it's great.

No sweat, lots of time left. We are just over a third of the year, you are a third way through two challenges and half finished with another.

It's a big disappointment when a book you expect good things from doesn't live up to expectations. Thank you for taking the time to explain why it fell short, I have no problem leaving it on the shelf. I hope your replacement is five stars.
Connie wrote: "Adding The Jockey by Carson McCullers. Excellent story."Another one I will be reading soon, thanks!

Your reading is in a different league than mine, but I'm enjoying your posts, thanks.

I've heard of this, maybe I've seen the movie and just don't remember.

As much as I enjoyed The Three Musketeers, I'm surprised I haven't tried Iron Mask yet, someday, glad to hear it's good.

I have Cat's Eye on my home shelf and I'm currently reading
The Blind Assassin. I'm really enjoying her writing.

I read the same book for 1958 and agree it was a good read.
