Speaking of spell outs... Our next word is:Power wash patio furniture.
More letters means less repeats, but I hope you have more O and U books!
Sammy wrote: "Tim can go lower than human beings can hear. Totally insane. He can also sing high tenor... I want a vocal range like his when I grow up!"That's insane! I managed a v small range and have to be ok with that.
Joe doesn't scare easily so I think the first few would be fine, but not the later ones and he's completionist with films. So need to wait until he can cope with 7 before starting 1.

Super bassy!"
As soon as you said super bassy, I should have known Tim was involved. Can't believe how low that man goes.
The audio on Audible by Andy Serkis has singing and music which is working in our house.I'm holding off on the films for another few years (same with HP) but I know it will come.
While Karen is in the midst of an avalanche of real life boring wheel tasks, it seems like a good time to say that the mods have sent their own avalanche of tasks our way.
As with life, it all seems to land at once, with not one, not two, but THREE minis being released!

See the details in the Announcements thread.

TL;DR of this is that each book can only be used for one mini (admin, meals or gardening) so for practical purposes we are treating this as 1 big mini on the tracking sheet. Feel free to reserve up to 3 mini tasks.
Some of the gardening tasks will need some coordination - the series chains of consecutive numbers (need 5 books in each chain, don't have to start at 1). Some of the locations and food words in text are also tricky.
Please don't add anything to the mini sheet - once round 2 has been released we can add the mini codes (column A) there to transfer everything across automatically (other than the bonus points). As with letters, the more options you can give us the better!
That's an awesome set of things to make a concert from. At university I'd fall asleep to a combination of Zimmerman, Shore and Williams.
Sammy - I wouldn't have a clue what the composers look like! Well spotted.Just been listening to LOTR soundtrack this morning. Joe has just started listening to the Hobbit, and after a rocky start he's really enjoying it. The songs have been his favourite bit so far.
Melindam wrote: "Sophie, suggesting a bit of Tetris with your Blaze book - I will place it at a U-slot, if you don't mind. I will be finishing an extra book that works for E only."Absolutely! In works in a lot of different slots so it can go wherever needed.
Mel - that sounds like a wonderful place to go for the week. We've got 2 weeks so husband and I each get a week.
Karen, that all sounds manic! Hope your mum's surgery goes to plan and the recovery is smooth. Business being a calm time I wouldn't have understood before the juggle of working mum.
Spell outs are going well. Having a really quick look, without any tetris going on - these are our current gaps/priorities:E - 6 (4 in progress)
D - 1
L - 2 (1 in progress)
U - 3 (2 in progress)
O - 1 (in progress)
T - 1 (in progress)
S - 1
I'm into a 2 week half term holiday this week, so no work, but lots of childcare fun. Hoping that my reading will pick up a bit. So far have finished the BOM which I didn't think was as bad as most of you did. My 1000+ page book is being read in chunks so won't be finished this round, but is definitely still in progress. I'm 70% through another as well so that will certainly be finished and possibly another as well.
It is however v epic at over 1000 pages.I've just finished a The Road Trip which has absinthe in the text (because of course it does...)
Melindam wrote: "Ouch, Sophie, that sounds really tough. Maybe you could ask them about their favourite books to divert their attention from the needle."It's actually quite a nice shift in a lot of ways. I can disengage my brain and just manage the task in front of me. There were 3 of us all working in the same room so in any gaps we could chat which I don't normally get the opportunity to do much.
Mel is wonderful and have updated our official sheet! Well done on all the wonderful reading everyone!Any favourites you want to recommend everyone so far?
Lisa glad to hear the trip is going so well.Happy birthday to Karen's boys. Hope they had a wonderful time
I'm planning to read the BOM for another O. Currently 5% through my first book. Hoping I get some more time to read soon. Not looking likely since I'm doing extra at work tomorrow to give people flu and COVID vaccinations.
