35559 I was wondering the same thing about NOS4A2. I heard it was worthy of a Stephen King comparison!

How did you like the other two? I've heard mixed reviews of The Nightingale.

35559 With this new goal development, I now vote to boon the "chow down" goal over the "Unappreciated Books List" goal. I feel like "chow down" is going to be harder to fulfill.

35559 HOLIDAY GOAL UPDATE

Kat fulfilled the goal "Read a book with Christmas Decorations/Lights on the cover" with her book Boyfriend by Christmas.

***I am halfway done with My Sister's Keeper which will fulfill the goal "Read the 25th book on your "To-Read" shelf ordered by date added"

***We still have two more goals to go until we get our Mega Boon:
1. Read a book with coal on the cover or in title
2. Read a book with hot chocolate on the cover

I know Karen was thinking about working on both of these, but if someone else would like to take over that would work too :)

35559 Aw thank you!! I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it...I trust the movers (as of right now) and I'm in a surprisingly good place packing-wise. I didn't procrastinate like I've done in the past and everything has been in my own control on my own schedule so it's been much easier than anticipated :)

35559 I MIGHT read Winter if I get to the others beforehand...and I might actually read A Darker Shade of Magic... Who knows what I'm doing anymore...I'm a mess hahaha

Great news on the personal front! I hired movers today :) My things will officially be leaving New York on the 18th and I will be in California on the 20th. THINGS ARE GETTING CRAAAAZYYYY!!!

35559 I will also only be reading The Nightingale. They don't choose the members who will be writing DQs until a couple days before the start of the BOM.

35559 BOON UPDATE

It's that time again!!! BOOOOON TIIIIIME!

I have to boon a goal by Saturday morning, so I vote for the "Best Unappreciated Books" list.

I have a couple books that will fulfill that goal, but I won't be getting to them for a whiiiile because of other books, moving, general disinterest in the book etc. hahaha

As usual, this will probably change by Friday. I like to start the discussion early ;)

35559 So when I search books, I go on the books section of amazon and pull up that particular book. Then, I click on the book and once it's on the book's page a little tab appears above the book's image that says "Look Inside." If there's a print edition available, click on the "Print" tab of the preview and on the left hand side there is a search box where I type in the phrase. If there is only a kindle edition, I press CTRL + F and start typing in the phrase. If the phrase is in there it will pop up, if not then it goes red.

35559 And if the phrase isn't EXACT, it has to have the same meaning -- the meaning being: Good Luck!

35559 It has to be that exact phrase :(
