Your team gets one every 2 weeks which you can trade to remove a goal in your current goals list that your team would rather not do
I asked how we enact one of these BOONS.
I would like to throw out this idea to all of you for your input:
Would you like to use a BOON for our goal "Read a book where the first word of the text is 'One?'"

Q1) How do feel about the opening commentary ?
I really like it. Exposition can be the most monotonous part of any novel and I really like how Slaughter is able to introduce a storyline and information through the father's letter. I'm anxious to see how this is followed through.
Q2) What is your first impression ? Do you like the alternating view points or do you find them irritating ?
I really like them. I am an ADD reader. I get very bored when I read a novel through one person's perspective the entire time. I like to know all sides of a story, so this is perfect for me.
Q3) What did you make of Paul's behaviour ? Why did he go into the alley ?
I figured he just wanted a little action ;p I didn't read into it that much. We don't know much about Paul so that behavior didn't seem unusual. I did expect Clare to get taken though so I was surprised when the man just, like, let her go and hold her husband while he died...
Q4) What is your impression of Claire and her general attitude ?
She annoys the hell out of me. She seems vain and cocky and seems to have no remorse or care for whatever put her in jail. Plus her reaction to that ENTIRE alley situation seemed super off-putting to me.
Q5) What do you think of Lydia 's reaction to the news about Paul ?
What did he DOOOOO??? Was he her dealer? Did he get her into trouble with the law? I NEED TO KNOW!
Q6) The book's synopsis tells us the connection between Claire and Lydia. Do you think you would have made the connection from these initial introductions ?
I hadn't read the synopsis!!! I HAD NO IDEA!!! Jaw dropped and I actually said out loud "Oh sh**!" I'm kind of glad that I never read the synopsis before starting the book. I truly went into this read not knowing at all what to expect and I am SO INTO IT.
Q7) Do you like any of the characters we have met so far ?
I like the Lydia/D/Rick dynamic. I like their storyline. She seems pretty awesome. I already stated my distaste for Claire. I'm anxious to learn more about Anna and her disappearance.

PLEASE read that book this weekend and PLEASE tell me how it is. I have asked for the entire series for Christmas :)

Farhad just completed two more goals...accidentally!
1. He completed The Emperor's Blades which had a purple dress on the cover.
2. Our newest goal was: "Read a book that was on the Best Love Stories" Listopia list (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/5...)" -- I found Farhad's previous book "Hounded" on that list at #1937.
OUR NEWEST GOAL IS POSTED IN MY FIRST MESSAGE ON PAGE 1.

You've got 4 so far, man, without even realizing it hahaha Color me impressed!

SHE'S WEARING A PURPLE DRESS!!! Farhad you have completed yet another goal :)

I know we just fulfilled the superhero goal, but in case we get it again, I received this note from Sonia:
Okay so, supernatural powers count as super-hero powers as long as they are the "common super-hero" powers... like weather manipulation, fire, wind (Like Dresden has) but not common witch potions or shapeshifters.
As for the orange text, Career of Evil was ruled as yellow, along with Looking Glass Wars (which I am currently reading).
Therefore, Karen, if you wanted to tackle one of your orange text books, you are more than welcome to :)

2. Read a book where the page numbers add to 6 (i.e. 345 pages = 3+4+5 = 12)"
No Karen, it means the number of pages add up to 6, they just gave us a random page number as an example, which happened to be 12. So take, for example, the book you just read.
Timon of Athens had 144 pages. According to this goal, you would add up 1+4+4 = 9.
We need a page count that adds to 6.

Book: Timon of Athens
Author: William Shakespeare
Pages: 144

Loving it Karen!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! That really means a lot to me. I love challenges like this because my Type-A personality can THRIVE :D

Because of Natalie's awesome goal fulfillment (NATALIE FULFILLED THE SUPERHERO GOAL WITH HER COMPLETION OF HERO) we have managed to fulfill TWO OTHER GOALS!!!
So here is a little update on the series of events that took place in the past 3 minutes haha
1. Natalie fulfilled the superhero goal.
2. We received a new goal: "Read a book where a character's first name starts with the letter 'V.'" -- I did a little research (thanks Google) and discovered that Farhad's book STORM FRONT had a character named Victor Sells.
3. We received a new goal: "Read a book that starts with the letter 'C.'" -- I chose Erin's book CHASING GHOSTS which was our very first book read.
WE NOW HAVE A NEW GOAL WHICH I HAVE UPDATED ON MESSAGE 1 OF THE FIRST PAGE.

Author: Perry Moore

BOM: No
Date Finished: 11/11/15

"5. Read a book with a blue, purple, or black dress on the cover"
Of course if someone beats me to it, that's great to..."
HUZZAH!

Natalie, they still haven't answered my question about your cover text either.
THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!
