The edition on your shelf needs to be the right one because that is the one that is automatically updated to the spreadsheet by the google doc gods.

28. How nice you escape from being persecuted for your beliefs and end up doing the same thing to other people. There is a strong undercurrent in this book of religion and religious persecution. The story also asks choices from the characters concerning their beliefs whether it is making a choice between magic, Christianity or something else like family. What do you think?
Yes I had noticed this very early on. It gave me hints of The Crucible.
29. Did you expect Danny to betray Peter and the Devils? I was expecting him or Leroy.
I really wasn't! That came out of nowhere for me!
30. Do you believe the Captain has any fatherly feelings towards Danny? He seems concerned about what is happening to the Devils and does not agree with the Reverend about what needs to be done with them. What do you think, is he handling the situation as he should by essentially only looking out for himself (I wonder why because it didn’t get him anywhere but just really stuck on that island) or is there more going on that we don’t get to see yet?
I like to believe the Captain's feelings are genuine. I don't know if it has anything to do with Danny specifically, but I believe he really does miss his sons. Maybe part of him believes that if he got off that island they might still be alive since time is so different there.
31. Nick and Leroy are saved by the Fairy Nick rescued from the privy. Nick then doesn’t kill the guard do you think that he will be paid back in kind later on? They save Peter from the cross and escape only Leroy is deadly wounded. Do you think Peter really killed him to avenge Seque or was it a mercy killing?
Eeeeeeeh Peter hasn't exactly proved himself to be the merciful type...
32. Ulfgar has gone completely of his rocker and is now killing his own kind. I think that sword is just a poisonous killer and does not give judgement as Ulfgar seems to think. What about you? Do you think they will be able to stop him and maybe turn things around and make him help them save Avalon although it seems that Ulfgar has turned his back to Avalon?
If it really is just the sword, then perhaps. However, he seemed pretty bitter and malicious before he got his hands on that sword so maybe he's too far gone.
33. What is going to happen to Avalon now that the tree is dead or dying and the Lady is captured? Do you think Peter and Nick can save the Lady and the island, or are they doomed?
I don't think Avalon is doomed. There might be a bit of a setting change for a little while, but I don't think all is lost.

22. These chapters were extremely violent. The Devils have left one war zone (their tumultuous home lives) only to find themselves in another. Nick wants to go back home and help his mother escape from the tyranny of Marko. Danny also voices a desire to return home. Do you think the children would be better off if Peter had never recruited them?
No way. I think this goes to show that there is no avoiding conflict and no avoiding growing up. There is ugliness and brutality and war everywhere. Peter may have saved them from one, but there will always be another.
23. Ulfger has a vision that prevents him from taking action to harm Peter. Is it the Horned One he sees?
I think so?
24. Why do you think Ulfger's guards finally turned against him?
They grew tired of the tyranny. They were ashamed. They wanted to fight for their land and protect their kingdom, but realized Ulfger was on the wrong side of that fight.
25. When Peter & co. find the Lady of the Lake, she is glassy eyed and withdrawn. After recognizing Peter, she seems to revive and the spark comes back to her. What caused her to be "catatonic," and why does seeing Peter restore her?
Perhaps Peter was the only real love she has had since her actual child.
26. Do you think Nick will be able to convince the others that Leroy is the one who killed Sekeu? Any predictions on which one of these two will survive?
The others will believe Peter, but it's going to take some sacrifice. I think that both Nick and Leroy will probably die. Nick might be the hero.
27. At the end of chapter 19, Peter sees Ulfger and thinks he is the Horned One. Does Ulfger intent to murder Peter, or use him for another purpose?
I think Ulfger has other plans for Peter, but eventually Peter will become disposable to him.

This is fantastic!!!

***Please include book title (linked), author, page numbers, and ANY/ALL GOALS it can fulfill (if any) when you report a completed read.
***If a book fulfills a goal, please include reason why.
***If book does not fulfill any current goals, please include any distinguishable features of the book: setting (name of country/fictional land etc), main characters names, unique and interesting details (ex: there was a talking mouse named Gus Gus) to make it easier to apply toward future goals.
I know this is a lot of information to include, but as the games get going and we each have to do this more often, it will become force of habit and won't be so bad. ;)
You're all rockstars!!!!!

Bri, I envy you a little. I know it is..."
Yeeees! Trust me, I take full advantage of being ill.

Read a book where MCs have superhero powers
Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 20th of a month ..."
Hi Valentin :) We have no set list of books to read from. The only books that have a schedule are the Book of the Month (BOM) books that the NBRC hosts throughout the month.
1. As far as "tasks" for our team go, the "Open Goals" are our only task. This challenge is mainly about reading as much as possible, earning points towards completed reads dependent on the number of pages, and obviously HAVING FUN READING OUR HEARTS OUT!
Every time an "Open Goal" is completed, we get a new one, so I don't think I'm going to start a list of books that can be used toward specific goals. You should look at Listopia for inspiration!!! I swear, people have made lists of books for every possible category under the sun. I also want to encourage our teammates to read WHAT THEY LIKE AND ENJOY READING rather than read a book only because it can count towards a goal. It's similar to being assigned reading in school. One is more likely to enjoy a book if one CHOOSES to read for pleasure rather than an assignment. However, if you would rather choose your reading list based on our "Open Goals," then PLEASE DO! :)
Also remember, Goals are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I do not want to assign specific goals to teammates. This only builds pressure and we all lead busy lives that unfortunately get in the way of our true passion, READING. ;) This is why I have requested that when you document your finished books on our BOOKS READ-TEAM MOIRAI thread, you also include ANY and ALL "Open Goals" that that book fulfills.
2. MC stands for Main Character.
3. I don't think there's a point to us being a Greek team?
4. Thank you so much for the well wishes. This is a stomach bug so I am very uncomfortable and unhappy at the moment haha I also prefer the physical books for the reason of focus/attention span, but because I'm a knitter/needle-artist, that's my job, and I need to be able to do both at once -- hence, audiobooks.
Once again, TRY LISTOPIA!!! You'll find exactly what you're looking for!!! I'm so glad to have you on the team!!! I loved all your questions and appreciate your enthusiasm!!!

I am home sick today (gross) but I get to curl up in bed with an audiobook and my knitting :D"
Oh, sorry you are sick, but glad you have an audiobook! I d..."
You're absolutely right!!!
