35559 Team a couple things:

1. A few of us are fasting approaching our monthly book cap. Jackie, you're at 5/5 read books, I am at 6/8 and Tricia, you're at 6/10. We all get 5 books on top of our initial sign up, but I'd recommend switching our strategy to reading longer books for the rest of the month. I have a few 500+ page books in my TBR that I'm going to slowly read through 🤞Yes, anything you read above the "+5" allowance will go into reserve, but we may not need them, so best to use our allocated book count wisely.

2. Let's try and populate the "Other Tasks" column for all our books, even if a mini has been assigned to it. It'll make the captains' lives a little easier.

Thanks!

35559 I just started my Fiji book, which is in itinerary 2. I’ll probably finish it in 4-5 days. Would anyone be willing to switch their unread itinerary 1 book to itinerary 2, assuming you won’t get to it by the end of the week?

35559 Anyone read a book where a character goes to the spa?

Also, couple lists for tasks we need to fill:
1. banned book: https://www.goodreads.com/list/tag/ba... (double check that the book is banned)
2. author born in korea: https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...

35559 New task: Read a book set in a completely fictional world

35559 I’m getting started on my author born in India book - The Immortals of Meluha. Has anyone read it? New to me author, but my aunt has great things to say about this series. We shall see.

35559 Has anyone read Ghost Story in Dresden Files? I really struggled my way through this book - it felt quite different from the rest of the books. Almost like it was meant to serve as a bridge between the 2 parts in the series. Curious if anyone else felt the same!

#3 would be easier to fill than series finale. Would you like to move your book over?

35559 Oooo okay I think I'll give it a go. But there's a long wait list at the library, so it probably won't work for this task.

35559 Our next spin is Korea :)

Wild Dark Shore is on my TBR! What did you think of it? I haven’t picked it up yet—it sounded a bit like a standard thriller, just with an Antarctic setting. Curious to hear if it stood out for you!

35559 Yayyy! On it

35559 2 more books that I've read set almost entirely in Antarctica:
Ice Station - would highly recommend this series and this author.
Whiteout - it was a 3 star read for me, some parts were a little slow.
