If it doesn’t fit a task, let’s not add it to the SS yet (unless high in page count). We’ll save it as reserve for later.

35559 I’ll take the character goes to spa task. I feel like a chill read today. I can’t seem to bring myself to start my weighty tomes 😅

Oh yes, if you don't mind, I think that would be great! Thank you so much 💕

35559 Does anyone know of an easy way to check if a book is in a list?

Yeah, I've read quite a few books on that list too. Trying to see if either Kulti or The way of kings is on there.

OMG how did they find these lists? 😂😭

35559 @Robin, any chance you would be willing to read a book for Diary? This is the list of books that would work - https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...

No worries if not. Just trying to keep Jackie going till the end of the month without hitting her book cap :)

Jackie, feel free to hold off on Diary till we hear back from Robin.

Yes, we get 10 points (on top of points for pages read) for mini 1 and 3, regardless of page count. Mini 2 would be 20 for a hard country, 10 for mid, and 5 for easy.

Same! I rescheduled my book to be delivered in June. But yes, you can read it now and answer questions when the BOM officially starts.

The only challenge is if we are picked to write DQs, it would be hard to write DQs for specific chapters without reading them again.

😂 LOL thanks for clarifying :P

And yes, that's how we'd evaluate what books we end up using. I've honestly never had a so many people approaching their caps, so this is going to be a new experience.

Finished The Immortals of Meluha. It was alright. I thought the author had a good imagination, and it was an interesting twist on Hindu mythology. However, the prose was very simple — I’d say it should be an MPG Children, if it weren’t for the two completely unnecessary sex scenes. As curious as I am to know how the story ends, I don’t think I can put up with 1,000+ more pages of mediocre writing.

35559 New task: Read a book set in the time period "Post Modern"

Post modern time period would be anything post-WWII but pre-2000s.
