I think my favorite books from the challenge (so far) have been:

Completion post: Silent VoicesIf we don't need it for Jackanory, it can just be an extra. A few things that might work (?)...
1. The main character uses the word Jackanory several times in the book. That struck me as funny.
2. Two people drown
3. Two people are murdered (strangled)
4. Someone escapes the clutches of an evil person that was deceiving her (thanks to the police investigation led by the MC)
We had severe hail damage to our house this week. Tennis ball sized hail. Much of my reading time may be taken up by insurance adjusters, contractors, etc, but I'm within 100 pages of finishing several books, so I'll try not to start anything new until those are finished.

Rose- agreed. That drove me crazy, too. I think it does get a little better the longer you're a member, which is weird. Or maybe it's that I rarely listen to a whole book. I'll often listen for a bit and then read.

Stacey- I agree with the suggestion to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I use Scribd and this has never happened to me. I think it's an app glitch. I hope it's an easy fix!

I copied this from the rules. Hope it helps!
â—ˆ Books with MPGs Childrens / Kids / Illustrated / Photography / Art (or which have "Illustrated" in the title or an "Illustrator" contributor in the metadata) must have at least 25,000 words (must be a verified count. sites that provide estimated word counts are not valid sources for verifying word count). ArBookFind is a great site to double check (there are also .co.uk and .com.au versions). If in doubt, ask your captain. Another rule of thumb is the audiobook version should be over 3 hours.
I'm reading one where the departed sticks around to guide an investigation. Not really in human form, in ghost form, but the investigator can see and here her.

This was ok. Not as enjoyable for me as Crazy Rich Asians.

Check of the Bee Bingo square!
Edited to add: I could've sworn I put this on the tracking sheet, but I don't see it. I'm not with my laptop, so I can add it later. Sorry about that!

Oh-- I can cover the bee, too. I just realized I started the second Bridgerton book and the MC is terrified of bees. It ends up being life altering for him.

I can cover the elf book. I could also cover hedgehog if that one ends up not working out. It looks like it's pending for someone else, but I have a couple here that will work if we need them.
