35559 Book two is really hard to put down. So much information in book one is really setting things up. I’ve only finished the first part of book one but it has been enthralling so far!
35559 Ps I agree about Shallan. She is really coming into her own. I love the tidbits about her father. I hope we get the story this book about what happened

Oh hell no! This is not going to end well.

Shallan is really growing on me and she's growing into herself more and more. I really enjoy her development.

I actually don't have a..."

Yikes. It was always bound to happen. (view spoiler)

Heading into the interludes now

I can see why you don't want to stop. I cannot wait for them to arrive on the Shattered Plains either!

The spren are fascinating. (view spoiler)
35559 You’ll overtake me in no time!
Although I’m taking my kids to a water park tomorrow so I should have at least one hour of uninterrupted reading time 🤣
35559 I’m loving the little excerpts from Navani’s journal at the start of every chapter too. I actually went back and just read them again. Definitely adding to the tension

I agree, this was so cool! I hadn't expected to go back either, but it was an interesting change in point of view.

That did indeed seem to have been her first encounter with the Shadesma..."

Haha I agree! It was so cool and also raises a lot of questions!! (view spoiler)
35559 Chapter 7

Just
Omg
35559 Just finished chapter 6 .
I just want to have a whole day where I can sit and read this 🤣 my goodness!

I can *not* wait for Shallan and J to get to the shattered plains and hopefully share what is happening with Kaladin who can share his own experiences back?….

Watching (view spoiler).

Or maybe 0.8? Haha
35559 I’m not sure about this one, but I’ll try 😬

It’s so interesting isn’t it… one of the great parts of history are the “I wonder…”. I suppose future generations have lost that with all of us because there won’t be too many mysteries with everyone documenting their daily activities online 🤣🤭

I couldn’t watch the tv show.
I honestly struggled with the romance as a feminist… but perhaps if I had read them when they first came out I would have felt differently (like clan of the cave bear back in the day!)

Oh no! I love Liane!
But that may be as I read her books before Big Little Lies became Hollywood and saw her speak at writers festivals back then and she is so nice. And one of her sisters is a friend of a good friend of mine so I have a soft spot 😊

35559 I didn't care for The Nightingale which put me off Hannah, but I was told to read her others. I absolutely loved The Great Alone and The Four Winds was very good - especially as it is narrated by Julia Wheelan :)

Emily henry - I've only read People We Meet on Vacation (for a reading challenge haha). It was pretty goo for what it is - an easy beach read

I go against the tide with Tj Klune. Great book covers and concepts but poor execution. Can't say I enjoyed Bridgerton book 1 that much either. I have been told to watch the tv show as bubblegum though. I am also unpopular as I couldn't stand Outlander.

35559 finished
Under the Table by Stephanie Evanovich
Which was as underwhelming as expected.
But it’s a U and has lots of food items 🤷‍♀️
35559 🤭 yes you have to finish the drag of the book first!
