Fabulous, thank you!

I started Anna and the King of Siam by Margaret Landon today for Thailand and I am loving it. I hope your mini books are enjoyable!!

35559 It is a good test to work out what the “right” number is that’s for sure!

At least you can enjoy those biggger books. And that one is a great (rollercoaster!) completion to the series 😊

35559 I would say go with the larger one, Lisa seeing you only have one book left.

I have found some freebies on audible for X that I can do if we end up in a pinch
35559 I'm curious about why Lift's powers come from eating food and not stormlight. And page 131 "if she didn't use the power, it eventually vanished". Is that the same with those who directly draw in stormlight? I can't remember - I thought they generally used it even without realising.

Chapters 1-9(view spoiler)

I hear you! I also ended up mostly reading my kindle with book 2. It was so amazing and edge of your seat stuff at the end!!

Yes, I intend to go to book 3 once E has caught up :)

35559 Eeek! I'm so exicted! I finished the challenge this year! woot woot

City of Stairs (The Divine Cities, #1) by Robert Jackson Bennett has been on my tbr since 2015 and it is now done! (although I enjoyed it and would like to get to book 2 😂

35559 I'm struggling to find an X book, but I have found a Thailand x5 with Anna and the King of Siam. I loved the movie but have never read the book, so I will get started on this :)

35559 I finished
Edgedancer (The Stormlight Archive, #2.5) by Brandon Sanderson and City of Stairs (The Divine Cities, #1) by Robert Jackson Bennett .

It was hard as I don't normally read 2 books of the same genre at the same time so I did find myself getting confused. I had to just sit down and get through Edgedancer (as the smaller one) and then continue on to the end with City of Stairs! I enjoyed them both, but now I feel like another genre.
I'm going to see what we need on the mini / for X and then get stuck in

There are only 4 books to go. So if you have something, Kat, maybe just pause your reading and get into something else as it shouldn't be too long until those 4 are done :)

Gosh. I'm not sure how I would feel about going there. I remember going to Tianamen Square and seeing the huge queues to visit Mao Zedong. I walked on by ;)
Same with Lenin's tomb in the Red Square although I don't remember there being queues.

wow that's amazing! What an experience
35559 Ok so I started a bit early because I already finished book 2 and I'm so keen to keep going to book 3! haha

Lift is not my favourite character. I'm not sure why, but it feels like Sanderson made all the strong female characters (like Shallan and Jasnah) quite unlikeable to start with.
Although I'm interested in this story - especially who Darkness is and what he is doing - I find Lift's actions (or inactions) super frustrating.

I hope we get more of an insight into how she ended up with Wyndle and her background in this book

35559 I've read it a number of times, and watched it on stage and screen. I love the actual story, and I appreciate Tolstoy's societal ideas but it just gets a bit much in that book for me!
I did visit his summer house outside of Moscow which was really interesting. Still had his writing desk and clothes etc.

your Edgedancer has been entered twice on the sheet, so I removed one of them.

For the Mini task "book set in a fictional world" I allocated your City of Stairs instead."

Thanks! Sorry I was working off my laptop (small screen)when we were away so I must have missed I had already added it. Should be finished both this weekend and will then see what I can find to fit the relax mini
