35559 **I've added everyone's Buddy Reads to the relevant tab in the spreadsheet. Let me know if I have missed a book and you'd like me to add it, or if I have got something wrong.**

Talia - I haven't added your Buddy Reads but I can if you post which ones you're doing here

Brooklyn - I have a few books that could be used for x and u. I stocked up on then for my Author Alphabet challenges

Teri - We will figure it out. Don't worry ;)

Jeeze. That's a while away Marie!

Has everyone else bought the book?

I think you're right Cat.

Devann - Good point. She only really explored about 4-5 magic clans throughout the book.
Even in the cave when they were getting told the origin stories of the gods getting their magic, was pretty empty.
I think she should have told us the origin story or something for all clans throughout the book. It would have been nice to have the origin stories in one setting but I think I would have skipped it and many would have gotten bored
35559 True Devann. Cancer could have joined Healers; Grounder and Tamer or Grounder and Welder together; Etc. I don't get the relevance of the light and dark one. Using light to blind someone as an offensive tactic. Woo!

Lol Cat!
I zoned out on the description too. I think she was the only animal we saw too
35559 The version I read I think she had some other names listed as well as the nickname titles... I couldn't find them online. But they're all pretty standard magic elements she's used. Maybe except for the Cancer one, which I don't see the relevance in...?

The animal names annoyed me as well. I don't know what happened to her pet/animal/lion after the King captured Zelie. She just disappeared?
35559 The eBook of Circe at my library won't be available until September this year.... ._.

I agree with what you said about needing a better reason other than hatred of magic to kill his children.
I feel like I needed more of the King's past so I can understand him better and understand his actions

I agree Devann. Two authors who had done this and pissed me off the most were Charlaine Harris with the Sookie Stackhouse series and the House of Night series by P.C. Cast. The last book was terrible.
35559 I found a quiz you can take to see what clan you're in.
http://childrenofbloodandbone.com/wp-...

Apparently I'm in the clan Winder - clan of air.

For those of you who can't remember the clans or had their books returned to their library (like me), here are the clans:
Reaper - Reapers can access and manipulate the spirits of the living and the dead.
Conndector - Connecters can tap into the mind, consciousness and dreams of others.
Tider - Tiders can manipulate water and ice.
Burner - Burners can generate and manipulate fire
Winder - Winders can generate and manipulate air and wind.
Grounder - Grounders can manipulate the earth.
Welder - Welders can manipulate and bend metals.
Lighter - Lighters can manipulate light and darkness.
Healer - Healers can heal a wide variety of ailments and injuries.
Cancer - Cancers can infect the living with a wide variety of sicknesses and diseases.
Seer - Seers can see into the past, present and future.
Tamer - Tamers can control and transform animals.

I just realised you meant there's a second book in the series... ereigjvnerin What the pants!! I wish I knew all about this when I watched the movie ages ago! I would have read them all non-stop, one after the other.

Definitely in for this buddy read representing Team Tonks

That's okay Teri. I feel your pain. I won't be able to read much until after my exams so no stress!

35559 I have listed information on classes in message 6. There has been no official post for Classes yet so I can't answer any questions you have yet. Hopefully a Classes post will go up soon.

Karishna and Amanda - Well done on reading those books! I've added it in to the official spreadsheet

Brooklyn - I would say add the book to your shelf after you've finished reading it.

35559 Well done for finishing three books!
May 13, 2018 03:43PM

35559 I’ll post about it after work
35559 I won't be able to start this book probably until the 18th of May as I have an assignment due this week...

Hey Joy, I'm interested in both. I have A court of Frost, but am searching for Circe to get from my library

I've been dying to re-read On the Jellicoe Road! Definitely in for June 6th

I'll be happy to do Astonishing colour as well

35559 Sounds good Talia! Let me know how Sabriel goes. I'm still deciding whether to read it or not.
