I’m nearly done with the book though. I’ll have it finished by tonight after work and I’ll let you guys know when it’s done

I enjoyed [book:The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-..."
I read that book years ago and loved it! I didn’t realise that it was about a boy on the spectrum though. I think I’ll have to read it again going by what you’ve said, Sammy

I was disappointed with

I find that when a lot of people rave about a book, I hold of because I'm wary of the opinions of others. But I think I'll give that book a go. I haven't come across many Austism Spectrum books and feel like I should
I read The Rosie Project and liked it

I was disappointed with

Is it worth reading Lisa? I have it as a To Read but something keeps holding me back from reading it

Do we know what happens when that is the case? Is it like a wild card or a dud?

I'm glad the Martian was good though!"

I wish I was like that. I seem to always be reading a few books at a time and sometimes don’t finish one so it gets put on my ‘taking my time to read’ shelf.
I need a month to finish them but there’s always a team challenge on so I prioritise that

Okay!
I've got books for y, o and u. If I do 'y' and 'o', you can do 'u' and 'o'?

I'm glad the Martian was good though!

So, is that Option 2 above, so ditching the First Group altogether? So what letters am I looking ..."
Yep, we can go with option to so look for two of y, o and u
Sammy has a U
You have a Y if you still read Crazy Rich Asians with character surname
Y, O, O, U is left
I'll take what ever Emma doesn't want

I'd be happy to ..."
Roger that!
Option 1
Group 1 = 4 books for 170 points (120+50)
Group 2 = 4 books for 200 points
Group 3 = 2 books ('in') for 80 points
Total = 450
Option 2
Group 1 = 0 books for 0 points
Group 2 = 4 books for 200 points
Group 3 = 6 books ('you' and 'you') for 280 points
Total = 480
Option 3 (if we can't find y, o, u in our books)
Group 1 = 0 books for 0 points
Group 2 = 4 books for 200 points
Group 3 = 6 books ('you' and 'any') for 260 points
Total = 460
When it comes to numbers, I need things spelled out clearly so my brain can understand what's going on and so I don't forget

Actually, it appears 3 times, but we can't have 'em all, lol."
Oh yeah you're right! So if we did 'you' twice then we'd have 280 points

If we don't do Group 1 and read more for group 3, we could get:
tin (30+40+40) from #7, eye (30+50+30) from #7, you (50+40+50) from #6, any (30+40+50) from #3.
So,
Tin + eye = 110 + 110 = 220
Eye/tin + you = 110 + 140 = 250
Any + eye/tin = 120 + 110 = 230
Any + you = 120 + 140 = 260
Or
Would (40+40+50+30+30) + O (40) = 190 + 40 = 230
Unless there's a bonus 50 point for each letter in group 1, maybe we could consider doing more for group 3 instead of group 1 if we want more points to win this?
We could decide between group 1, 2, 3 vs group 2, 3 after points have been finalised for Round 1...?
Also, I'll totally read for the y's if we do eye/you/any for group 3 if you guys don't want to
Edit:
@ Sammy - your group 1 book would fit for a in any or for tin (title)
@ Lisa - your group 1 book has a Y as a character's surname so would fit for you/eye/any

I haven't read The Martian but I read Artemis as a BOM here and I actually liked it. It was kind of a introduction to outer space life for me. I've only only read a few but this one has stuck with me the most (probably because there's no alien romance going on)

Will it always be like that?"
Pretty much, is my guess. They did hint that the coun..."
Heh xD
As long as we have a week to read the countdown, I'll be happy

Will it always be like that?

So, I'd prefer to read more in week 2 of round 2 as I have an assignment due next week and won't be able to ..."
Sounds good! Thanks Sammy

Awesome! That's three down for the grou..."
Argh! I know! They are not easy to find which I guess is why they have higher points
