35559 I found my new favorite quote from a book:

"Think not, is my eleventh commandment; and sleep when you can, is my twelfth."

I didn't realize Herman Melville had a sense of humor, lol.

35559 I'm sticking with Caroline on this. I have no head for Battleship strategy, heh.

35559 Guessing around the hits would be the best strategy, I would think. Do you want specific guesses?

Oh no! Hopefully your recovery is going well, Chris. It does sound nice to be able to read as much as you want, but the broken leg doesn't sound fun at all.

35559 Good job, team! I noticed we're number one in the Air teams right now :D

In regards to the hit vs misses categories once all our hit squares are done... Are we trying to finish up the miss squares and *then* finish bonus books, or would we prefer getting the bonus points? I ask because my book And Then There Were None would work for the "book titles starting with a vowel" but it could also count for a bonus for mystery or classics.

35559 I'm going with Where'd You Go, Bernadette. It was an engaging mystery/family drama that was filled with quirky weirdos and I loved it :D Right up my alley!

35559 Finished up Where'd You Go, Bernadette and I loved it, too, Erin! Gotta love a book filled with quirky characters.

I'm really enjoying Battleship (and WOBBLE) so far. It helps that this is a pretty great team :)

35559 Good morning, DLs!

@Samantha - The Westing Game is my favorite book! I hope you enjoy it :)

I'm almost done with Where'd You Go, Bernadette! It's definitely a different book, but I find myself really enjoying it. I've also started Moby-Dick; or, The Whale on audiobook. This is my first foray into audiobooks and I'm rather enjoying it! If we don't have the classics covered, I could use that book towards it.

Thank you :)

35559 Another question. If something is shelved as "historical fiction", would that count for the "historical" task? Or does it have to specifically be "historical"?

Awesome! Thanks for the clarification! I'll chug along with my two books, then, and see what else I might be able to pick up :)

35559 Yay, go team! This strategy is working out quite well.

So the books we finish now are going towards the new goals, correct? As in, if I finish a mystery, it wouldn't count as bonus for last week? Just curious!

35559 Ohh, The Westing Game! That is my favorite book :D I hope you enjoy it!

I like Caroline's strategy!

35559 Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I just started And Then There Were None, which we could use as a bonus for the mystery task, and Where'd You Go, Bernadette, which could work for the double letter task if we still need another one or (surprisingly) bonus for the young adult. It's been marked as young adult by 77 people.

Of course, either might fit better with a task we get on Monday, so I'll leave it up to the captains!

35559 I finally crossed one of the books off my list! WOBBLE is proving helpful already ;)

Just finished reading The Lightning Thief The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan and I rather enjoyed it! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was a fun, quick read. It definitely made me consider finishing the series.

35559 I've heard bad things about the movie and I think that's why it was on my TBR for so long. But the book was just a fun, easy read and rather enjoyable :)

Thanks for the list! I'll see what I can find.

35559 Finished The Lightning Thief! It was a fun book :)

Is there a particular task I should focus on next? I haven't decided what to read next and I want to be as helpful as possible!
