I started with Carrie, his first novel. But, like Melissa said, I don't think that there's a "best place" to start. Just pick a book that sounds interesting to you and dive in :)

That movie scared the crap out of me as a kid. I can only imagine the book is infinitely more terrifying.
Samantha wrote: "Books are always best <3 I've been a longtime fan of Stephen King. Welcome to the club! You HAVE to read Misery."I have read Misery! It was WAY better than the movie, by leaps and bounds. I thought the same thing about The Shining. Love that movie, but the book was so much more creepy and awesome.
Finished up Mr. Mercedes. Stephen King is quickly cementing himself as one of my favorite authors. I've only recently started reading his books (having been a childhood fan of movies *based* off his books, I figured it was about time) and I've pretty much loved everyone I've gotten my hands on.

We'd find a Barnes & Noble midnight release, get dressed up, and have a blast waiting to go home. Then we'd all go home and read as much as we could before passing out so we could talk about it the next day. Good times!
We'll see how this one goes. You'll have to let me know how you like it :)
I ordered my copy as there isn't a bookstore too close to our new home. I'm looking forward to getting it, but I find I'm not nearly as excited as I used to be when the Harry Potter books came out.
@June I'm really liking it, so far! It's a murder mystery, which I enjoy anyways, but with that Stephen King flair that I love.

I could read Dead Poets Society by N.H. Kleinbaum to help with the Milon boast. It's really short, so I can have it done in no time.
Finished up Library of Souls. That was an interesting series, to say the least. Now I'm looking through all the books I brought with me when we moved to see which has the best possible letters for future words! The rest of my books will, hopefully, be getting here soon.
