Echidna aka the Mother of Monsters has been spotted on your lands. Hard to kill and looking for some quality "me time".

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with CAVE in text.
3.) Read a book where a character uses a sword.
4.) Author name (first and last) contain all the letters in HERA
5.) Read a book where a MC is a mother

Alisha finished the low rating book (thanks Alisha!) and I looked up a poisoning reference for Cris' book, so I'll get that monster turned in.

The book I have to focus on today and finish (because I kept getting distracted by monsters haha) has the MC is a father, and my next one in the queue is MPG adventure. So those are a possibility. I won't put them in for tasks yet though since others may have better options.
(I suspect there exists a book that is MPG adventure and #9 or higher in series, but I'm going to restrain myself from looking right now lol.)

And no worries to everyone who thought we just needed a stubborn character for hardheaded/bull headed - I did too! I appreciate all of you looking, and I'm glad we ended up with something that worked.

For the latest monster we need a book where a MC is a mother. I don't see anything on the spreadsheet right now for B5 - but I certainly might have missed something.

@CB - For The Man with the Golden Torc: can you give us the phrase with location of "CAVE in text" and also where a character uses a sword please?

And Renata, it sounds like The Shadow Rising will be a fantastic candidate if we get this monster again.

So I've been able to look at kindle versions of Ship of Magic and Horseman and Close to Home (the finished books that were labelled R4) and I'm not seeing hard headed or bull headed in them. But I may have missed something. I think we were possibly interpreting that task as the meaning of those terms vs. actually finding the phrase.

I have not looked at Kulti - Renata, does it have the actual phrase (or close to) hard-headed or bull-headed?

Anyway - everyone check your books please :)

Note: Here is a warning they put in the captains group:
Whilst we welcome creativity in tasks, please note that for tasks that have phrases in quotes (e.g. the Minotaur task 4, a character described as "hard-headed" or "bull-headed") we expect to see that phrase in the text (slight variations acceptable - such as hyphenation).

Sana - we need the quote for the task "someone is described as hard headed or bull headed" if you can put that in.

Sana - I see that R(1,3,4,5) is underlined on the tasks, which would be idea. Although its hard to say for sure if / when we'll get Minataur. I believe we could complete hydra if we use Ship of Magic for It, or if we use Megan's 800 page book and CB's tagged adventure book Forged in Blood. But there are also preferred tasks underlined for CB's tasks. So....I'm afraid to do anything because I suspect Ushashi and Christina have looked at this a lot more than I have, and have some kind of master plan. Either way, it won't be long til we get these monsters!

I'm home now and will take a look to see if we can complete Hydra.

I'm sure you ladies are way ahead of me - but Sana's Horseman book (on T90) also works for #9 in series (T125).

Then I think we have completed unused L books to cover the rest. But, as I said, I'm sure you know that :)
