We have one more long day of driving, then a shorter, 4 hour day, so I found a couple of books that will fit missing prompts - "features a bird" and "#6 in series". I'm perfectly fine if they end up getting banked though!! Sadly, I couldn't find a 6 in series book I own that also features birds.I have tons of rolling plains books, and I found a sandals book I can read if I have to, but it'd be a re-read so I'll wait a little bit on that one.
I suspect I like finding books for things almost as much as actually reading them.
Oh that is excellent justification! A harpooned fish is much different than catching something on a fishing line. With that, I'd say yes, I think it'd work.
I looked on the goals faq and it doesn't have anything about rope there so that may be worth asking in the captains group.

I requested the update to the Librarians. Thanks for providing those links!
I finished Jade War and was able to update the spreadsheet from my phone. I'll for sure finish What the Flock today and I should have internet and be able to link it in the Spreadsheet tonight. Amazon shows it has 242 pages. I can't see pages on the app but I may need to post in the Librarians group tonight to get those added to Goodreads. sorry if there are typos in this post. this is an incredibly bumpy drive .
Hey Leslie, have you started your farmer book yet/need it for a challenge? I'm asking because I got an email from netgalley offering a review copy of a book about a woman sheep farmer and she's on the cover with her sheep! what are the odds? if you've started though I'll wait for that book til we get that monster again and read Wee Frree Men for sheep cover.Ashlee that's great you can do that task!!
This list has flip flops on the cover if anyone is interested in any of these books:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
I'll for sure try to fill in needed tasks once I get through this pile of books left over from the maze :)

Time to answer my own questions. Although honestly, some I asked because I was hoping someone would know!DQ - Day 6 - Covers 28. The Final Adventure of Koroviev and Behemoth -> end
26) Out of all the people in the city, why do you think the Devil decided to help the Master and Margarita? Or did he really even help them? The only thing I can figure (and it's probably totally wrong) is that the Devil somehow liked Margarita and her 100% focus on the Master and wanted to reward her? Plus, she had a good husband that she left? Or maybe he liked the story of Pilate and wanted it published. I really have no idea why of all the people...
27) What do you think are some of the things the author was trying to convey with this book? The thing I got from it were that censorship and repression really hurts the artist's soul.
28) All through the Devil seems to insist to others that Jesus really exists. Why do you think that is? There was some talk in to book about opposition (need to know happy to know sad for example). And Jesus is the great opposition to the Devil. So maybe that?
29) (Thanks Google! - I thought this was interesting) The title to Chapter 30 (It’s Time! It’s Time!) references this poem by Alexander Pushkin:
It's time, my friend, it's time! The peace is craved by hearts...
Days flow after days -- each hour departs
A bit of life -- and both, you and I,
Plan a long life, but could abruptly die.
The world hasn't happiness, but there is freedom, peace.
And long have I daydreamed the life of bliss --
And long have planned, a tired slave, the flight
To the removed abode of labor and delight.
Now the question:
It seemed to me that peace (as described in the poem) was a pretty great reward for the Master. But why do you think/ what did in mean that the Master " earned peace but not light?" Again, this is another question I really wonder about. My only guess is that "light" is some version of heaven. But really, "peace" sounds heavenly to me - I'd love peace and freedom from worry.
30). What did you rate the book and why?
I rated it a 3. If it hadn't been for the points I never would have finished it. And for me the first half was probably a 1 or a 2. I just didn't understand it at all!! But I gave it 3 because the second half I understood a little bit more and I think the author had some important things to say. I am just not sure what they were!
Cris that's perfect! Great fit!Lol about the MC having a cow or a dog...hmm the MCs are pigs, right? And they boss around the cows and tell the dog what to do (if I remember correctly) so in my opinion it works. And the mods DID say to be creative :)
As you read it though, see what you think.
I'll for sure finish Jade War tomorrow after the countdown. But I'm pretty sure our campsite tomorrow doesn't have internet at all so I won't be able to post til the next night (assuming we have internet there - we should). Our site today is right next to an Amish cheese factory. I bought lots of unusual cheese flavors and jam.

I apologize - I'm going to put up the Day 6 questions next post. It's a little early (although here it's only an hour until June 14 and it's already June 14th somewhere!) I wouldn't be able to post them til late tomorrow and I'd rather be early :)I hope these questions make sense. I'm still not exactly sure what I read! :)
I'm figuring the same. I decided basically what I'll do is fill in anything I can tell before I read the books, then go through more carefully once I'm done and say what the books fit. Hopefully that'll work!

DQ Day 524. The Master is Released -> 27. The Last of Flat No. 50
21) All's well that ends well for the Master and his Margarita! Or is that just another illusion created by Woland? So far at least, it seems like the two of them got what they want - o
r rather Margarita got what she wanted and the will turn out for the best. How do you think their story is going to end?
Given the magic show where people got new clothes, money, etc., and that all disappeared, this could easily go that same way.
22) I would not want to be part of the police force in those days, trying to clear up all those messes that the devil and his posse have created while they were playing in Moscow. Lots of people seem to be returning and they all want a padded cell "for their safety" - or would that be sanity? What are your predictions for all these people? Will Iwan realise that he is not actually mad? Will Rimski regain his composure? Will the signing bank personnel believe it was mass hypnosis and all go back to normal? It seems like there is just too much to cover it all up or make it all go away again, or not?
I think that because of human nature, people will just go back to business as usual and deny anything ever happened. And I suspect that is analogy to the time the author lived in, when people were snatched up never to be seen again and everyone would ignore it.
23) Why do you think Margarita is the only person we have encountered in this novel (so far) who seems to think that there was nothing particularly amiss with meeting Woland. She even took the supernatural element in stride. For her, there is nothing to worry and everything seems to be as it should be. What makes her special? Why is it that she is the only one not to question her sanity?
I'm really not sure! I think maybe she's just so very focused on her goal of getting the Master back that she ignores everything else.
24) The Jesus chapters seem to have come to an end - what do you think their relation is to the story line set in Moscow in light of what has happened in the chapters in Book 2? At first I thought there was more to them, but now I'm beginning to wonder if they aren't merely bits and pieces from the Master's novel thrown into the mix. What do you think their purpose is?
I have been thinking along the same lines - it's all part of the Master's novel. But I really have no idea and I'm hoping someone will explain!
25) Any predictions on the last craziness of the devil gang? What are they going to get up to now that they've set flat No. 50 on fire and have flown out the window?
I kind of thought "What? More fire?" Since the chapter was called something along the lines of their exit, I guess they are going to fly off into the sunset - but we shall see!
