Yes and rope is so hard to see at a glance!

I'll look for another rope book that I could get done today. But if someone else has something quick (my Agatha Christie
was pretty quick - I think at normal speed it's like almost 5 hours.

Lol I was typing when you wrote that. If you have access to the audio that is better because I have a couple of hours coming up where I can't listen to anything.
It is the prequel to the whole series so it's perfect to read first.
Well hmm....I could listen to Rolling in the Deep this time - but we'd need a rope book.We do have some finished books that cover tasks #5 (a ton of them), and one that covers task #2 - but we'd then still need 1, 3 and still the rope, so I'd guess doing Rolling in the Deep is better? Or is there a better strategy?

Well.....we got them again!
Sirens
The Sirens have been spotted on your shores endangering ships heading for the harbor. Easy enough to defeat if you know how, don't recommend calling them one hit wonders though.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 100 and 125 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book that takes place on a boat or ship.
3.) Read a book with a character who is deaf (any degree acceptable)
4.) Read a book with a rope on the cover.
5.) Read a book with "Mermaid" in the text.

Me too. Or one of the many where we already have books read to kill them!

Sirens are dead! I will get it entered in our ss and request a new monster.

And I'm so glad you liked it!!

Leslie thanks for doing that! I'll knock off that rope book this morning.

I will listen to
rope. Between that and the mermaid book we will have sirens covered.

Good luck this weekend Christina!
If anyone has a rope book - we'll need one of those too :)

It's a pretty fun book!
Rolling in the Deep covers all of the tasks for Sirens except rope on the cover. BUT - the kindle version is listed as 79 pages, so if we use that one we'd have to either read the hardcover or the audiobook (since it uses the default page # which is that of the hardcover).

Ok all done with that Harpie book! I wonder what monster we will get next.

Yeah - so true! I'll switch to that one. I'm about an hourish away from finishing my Africa book, but that monster still has missing tasks, so killing the harpie would be better.

I have access to "Of Dragons,..." and could knock it off in a couple of hours. But I thought we were able to use some books to fill in like 3 of the tasks already? I'm not sure the best strategy here?
But anyway, let me know if you'd like me to do that. I guess the good thing there is we could get a new monster.

I'd call it a feast because it sounds like a lot of special good food. But ???

yay!!

@Ashlee I put it in the spreadsheet but without a link since I'm not sure what edition you're reading. So just fill in the link and pages when you are able.
